I didn't enjoy "Fight" as much as "Shattered". Fight felt like, at times, it was written by AI, it just glossed over some parts and never went in depth like Shattered. If you read the forward or post script, it says that their publisher called them up to write a book about the 2024 election and they cobbled it together last minute. Its a good summary of 2024 but lacks the depth and detail of Shattered.
I don't even think its that far. Most of #3 is really just people who genuinely want to be left to grill. Yes and no. USAID did have a number of legitimate aid programs but it was basically created by the Kennedy administration to get around Congressional oversight of aid programs. While there was overlap between USAID and the CIA, USAID was officially under the purview of the US State Department and most of its people were employees of the State Department. A lot of people involved in CIA programs in the 50's and early 60's phased into USAID when the State Department took over the programs, especially ones in Southeast Asia (Vietnam and Laos) and Africa (especially the Congo).
