Over the weekend, word got out that the reason Kimmel got fired was because he didn't agree to stating a retraction to the lie from the other night, and wanted to double down on it.

I guess when Kimmel's show is back on, we'll see if it was Disney who bent the knee or if it was Kimmel.

Either way, I will not be seeing ... Because I've never watched the douchebag's show, and I'm certainly not going to start now. lol.

I think his parents were there. They didn’t speak, although others referenced them in their speeches. I don’t know that I’ve seen anything from Charlie’s parents.

I’m going to be honest here to the best of my knowledge. I’m not going to blow smoke because this was an event I supported.

While the memorial was beautiful and they had the highest level of VIP speakers so security was everywhere, I feel like the average people attending was an afterthought. It was set up in a week, which was a huge feat, but it seemed to all be focused on the service itself, the VIP guests and the security of the event.

It was Arizona so it was HOT. And humid. Apparently it’s their monsoon season and they’ve had a good storm before the event. There was no shade except for cloud cover while it was there. Standing for hours and hours on black asphalt. No water, or what people did have ran out or was hot for the most part. We were told no bags, even clear bags, or coolers. Almost no accessibility to restrooms. People were just peeing where they stood or in bottles, directly on the ground in the line, or jumping into a huge dumpster to go , until police kicked them out. There were no trash cans, it looked worse than any BLM event I’ve been to, but it was a bigger event than the population of my town, so I don’t know if that means anything, but it was TRASHED. They didn’t have any origination in their lines, that led to some fights because so many people were cutting in front of people who waited hours and hours. There was no signage, no direction.

I don’t know if anyone was hurt in the fights, there was too many people but I heard the screaming. Every so often, fairly frequentl, people would start screaming for medics, who would eventually come and we could see people getting carted out.

After so many people were going down, Someone did start bringing cases of bottled water to us, hot, at the very end, but by then, it had been hours in that heat and the damage was done.

There were a large amount of elderly and unhealthy people. I don’t think that was taken into consideration. The lady who went down at my feet had POTS. It was after the event. I had to run over a block to find someone to help her. The military and whatever federal branch of law enforcement and TSA agents manning the gates and patrolling the event were not there to help people or for moral support, that was made clear. The local LEO and services were overloaded but they were working their asses off.

Also, not only are the TSA agents rude, they are utterly incompetent. Thank goodness that people there were honest. I could have easily snuck something in. I even turned in my lighter voluntarily, after I walked through security, they wouldn’t have found it.

I heard people complaining that they were treated horribly. Some said like cattle. I’m not sure what all this entailed for them.
I just personally think they should have waited another week to get these kinks worked out beforehand. But strike while the iron is hot I guess.

I think everyone outside of boomers knew that Q was either a psy-op or a troll. It would take someone who knows nothing about the internet or 4chan to believe that shit, that being boomers.

What? Kimmel's entire thing is a fucking SIDESHOW, with Charlie's death, we have reactivated CHRISTIANITY Nationwide and even into Europe and some Asian countries.
they are making vigil's of Charlie in fucking Taiwan and Japan buddy, Kimmel's worthless show being off the air or on the air is NOTHING compared to the greater victory Charlie personally crafted with blood and death and sacrifice, posthumously given, as he lived his life knowing it could.

I cannot make this more clear, blows against the scourge are nothing without a united force to deal them out, when Christians win, it will be united behind a cause, not some tit for tat "we got your Late Night show cancelled NEENER NEENER" shit.

Yeah, Arizona native here, and pretty glad I only watched the service online. Water should have been provided as a given, because the heat here is no joke. Also, they could have set up some tents here and there to reduce the amount of people having to stand in the heat. I understand needing security, but there should have been more of a budget setup just to prevent people from getting health issues. The lack of garbage cans is surprising to hear, as more could have easily been rented out for the event. I hope future events are more well thought out than this, because it probably took away what could have been a nice thing to witness for people that made the effort to come there in person.
 
Interestingly, our pal Davion, booted from Texas State, has lowered his GoFundMe goal to $35K from $40K. Presently has just over $29K. Could hardly get a beat-to-shit Escalade for that, but should pay for people on a Carnival cruise.

Don't give him the ratings there will be news 5 minutes later after it airs about whether he got a "Free speech victory" or he blew Charlie's ghost and then kissed Erika's ass.

One folly people often fall into, is time as a concept
By this, I mean that because nothing happened.. in 2 weeks you think nothing will, or that this wasn't a huge victory surge for the nations Right.
this is because you view all things like from a history book, where years are sentences and developments that take months are digested instantly by you, hundreds of years later.
give it time, like all things in history, change will speed up gradually then all at once.

It's the right choice. ABC, by caving due to terrorism threats, just sent the clear signal that terrorism IS THE language that people will listen to. If that doesn't embolden lefty lunatics, well... let's just say Sinclair and Nexstar are doing the right thing by NOT caving into that sort of threat.

[Edit To Add: Personally I think their reasoning is a mix of popular revulsion, and, Jimmy Kimmel was a money losing whirlpool of crap for them, and his comments give them good public pretext.]
