Whenever people read lines like the Sam Hyde quote, they have mantras like 'the left is not violent' or 'the right only feigns persecution nothing bad ever happens to them' or something to that effect playing in their heads over and over.
So blending the quote with a graphic image featuring political violence form a leftist towards a rightwinger gives them whiplash. The shock value of a live murder adds to that.

The point of the image is the crack the facade. Once the facade is cracked, it gives way to intrusive thoughts. If the same mouthpieces you trusted, told you how the left is unanimously virtuous and peaceful and the right is violent and definitely not under violent threat, if they would lie to you about this, what else did they lie about?

The other side is rightwingers seeing the image. They all have their heads stuck in the clouds and think that politics will never truly affect them, that they can just grill and live their lives and everything will be fine. I'm sure Charlie Kirk had a similar idea at some point.
This part I'm not sure about yet how to pull off. The right needs to understand that everyone who could conceivably be associated with them will be next at some point. They will kill all of you eventually, they just aren't tackling all of you at once. Mister Metokur put it in words much better than I ever could. What I think affected both Sam Hyde and Metokur (and thousands other men around the world) was that Kirk's wife and children saw him get shot. I don't know if Sam Hyde has kids, I know Metokur doesn't but I got the impression he wanted them and decided against it because of his sickness and not being able to take care of them.

At least from the male perspective, when you get kids, you discover two new greatest fears you can imagine. Fears you've never known before. Fears that make your blood turn to ice when you think about them.

First is obviously, the fear that your children will die before you do.

The second is that your children will lose you before they're ready for life on their own.

This second fear can almost make that stupid Killary quote "Women are the primary victims of war" make sense.

One of the things I can't get out of my head is the video of Charlie's older daughter running into his lap during some show. Him talking how coming back home to his children is better than meeting any president.

Having kids that are around the same age as Charlie's, I know both of them were asking "where's dad" the next hour, next day, next week, next month. My kids ask that when I'm at work. And the same for my wife.

Then finding out Charlie's daughter ran to him because she got scared of the noise of the shot... It's so heartbreaking.

This is actually a very good point that got me thinking, as it's (yet another) thing that I think troons and their associated orbiters fail hard at ITO theory of mind.
