Charlie Kirk: Aftermath, Gravedancing, and Manhunt

"[Charlie Kirk] was violently killed because he spoke for freedom and justice, for God, country, for reason, and for common sense."
This is the thing that gets me; these are things you'd have heard some of the earliest Presidents say. These freaks would have wanted to shoot Washington. I can't remember the last time I heard the President mention God before Trump. Maybe they did, they probably did, but I didn't really think about it until now.

I bring it up because I am now reminded just how much God was intertwined with the philosophies of earlier Presidents.

Each day has a reading from the Great Adventure Bible ("story" part of the Bible),
I'm thrilled you're enjoying Fr. Mike's work, but just as a point of clarity, the Great Adventure Bible is a complete Bible. I have the physical copy and its really nice example of the RSVSCE translation. What makes it a "Great Adventure" is not that its only the story part, but that it's formatted to highlight the story part. If anyone is looking for a nice physical Bible it's one I highly recommend.

Based on a conversation I just had with a leftist, who insisted Kirk was an extremeist but failed to provide any examples, I think it might be prudent to find the things that Kirk said that were taken out of context and archive the original clips with full context. While it is encouraging that some people are going out and doing their research, it would be useful to have for convenience.

Thoughts?
Literal gay nigger has already done that.

Also, just me posting the word nigger means I'm infinitely worse than Charlie was, so probably more deserving of a bullet to the throat than he was, according to most of the people on the left. If you've ever typed or said the nigger word then you're fair game to them. Not a world I want to live in, so if my choices are reduced to a binary of Dem vs Rep, who do you think I'm going to choose?

One other unrelated thing but something people may want to look into. If you want someone who has similar views as Charlie, and who handles the race question probably even more eloquently than him, and with data, I suggest you look into Charles Murray. Also without the religious aspect. A lot of his stuff has been posted merely as memes. While memes are useful, I think it does him a disservice as his books and videos are worth much more. He's also been dealing with being "cancelled" for way longer than it's been a "thing" in popular discourse.

To tenuously tie this back in to Charlie, he would be all for whatever version of the Bible got people into reading it, so long as it wasn't some weird heretical left wing nonsense Bible. Which do exist. I would recommend that eventually people do pick up the KJV or the ESV. The Bible isn't supposed to be a breeze to read, it's supposed to make the reader take their time and thunk

G. W. Bush is an evangelical, and his administration was pretty religious. Ronald Reagan was religious. Jimmy Carter was a Baptist, and spoke about religion. The early presidents did speak in religious terms, but they were a little more vague and circumspect about it. They spoke about the Creator, paid homage to the Bible and church. You had other religious presidents, but they came from more mainline churches that didn't approve of speaking about religion so much.

Honestly, I think Trump and his administration is probably the most openly evangelical presidency we've ever had. I can't think of another president and administration who have been so explicit in specifically talking about their faith in Jesus Christ.

Maybe some of you remember this better than I do, but my friend group is actually fairly politically diverse IRL, as (like Charlie, I like to think) I'll talk to anyone as long as they're not insane and willing to be civil.
Mine too, and family, and the one thing I was glad to find out was literally nobody in my friends and extended family were gravedancing. I have none of those scum in my social circle. I think, or at least hope, the kind of scum who view events like this with glee are rarer than you think.

Culture has become radically secularized, depraved, and nihilistic in the last 20 years. I think a lot of people have become weary of this. People want hope. They want meaning. Charlie Kirk's life, message, and death offers the kind of hope and meaning that people are looking for.

Another thing that comes to mind are the repeat cycles in history. America has experienced quite a few religious revivals throughout it's history. The Great Awakening of the 18th century, the Second Great Awakening of the 19th century, the Billy Graham Crusades of the 1950s, the Moral Majority of the 1980s, etc. America has been ripe for another one of these religious revivals.
Book recommendation somewhat on this topic is Generations: The History of America's Future, 1584–2069 by Neil Howe and William Strauss. It boils down to yes, the same few things cycle back around in response to key events in a generation, where that generation was in the lifecycle when it happened and what category of the handful there have been over those thousands of years their parents were. It was published in 1991 so it's fun seeing what they expected for the cycle after that compared to what went down.

It's not about the religious stuff but moreso big picture like values, political leanings, and general attitudes towards themselves and the world. Then kinda puts it all together in a way that makes you think Fuck, we've absolutely been here before and will be again.

The Catholic Church and I have our issues with the KJV translation, but out of respect for Charlie I wont get into that here.

Personally I recommend the RSVSCE or the NABRE for most people, and if you like the old prose style of writing in the KJV then seek out a Douay-Rheims like the one attached to this post.

Christians didn't give up when we were persecuted by Rome, I don't know what relevancy has to do with saving your soul from eternal damnation.

WBC gives zero hoots whether society “shuns” or accepts us. We have picketed every single day, by God’s mercy and strength, since the day we started—35 years ago. Telling you every day America is doomed for proud sin. Meanwhile if you paid attention as you went in to worship the dead at the Charlie Kirk Memorial today, you saw us there with these God-blessed Bible signs.

Repent or Perish!
I don't disagree with WBC on general principle, but y'all come off like the cast of "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Deliverance." It's your own fault nobody takes you seriously, you all look like the children of brothers who fucked their own sisters.

Change up your act, it sucks.

I've also been seeing a growing trend of the younger generations Z and A and some later gen millennials starting to convert over to Christianity or some other forms of religion.
I think it's genuine.

My cousin (who's 18-20) started going to church regularly, and he made that choice when was 15. I myself have always been more religious than my peers (I grew up going to church and am gen z sadly lol)

I think Gen Z, who are more than likely raised by Gen X who are often divorced/married multiple times and whose older siblings are neurotic Millennials, want something more than they have… we want more than what we were taught at school.

Jfc we can't even make jokes or have hobbies without our jobs being called or a huge call out post haunting us over stuff we made when we were 10 and had unlimited internet access bc our parents didn't care lol.

It doesn't surprise me that more gen Zs are becoming religious at all.

(And the ones who don't become religious in the Abrahamic sense are the ones who get indoctrinated in the lgbt cult.)

These freaks would want to shoot Washington anyways, they hate America as a concept and want to fundamentally alter it to become some impossible Globohomo hub station for everyone in the world except people who don't "Think Alike" to mingle like in all their cartoon fantasy drawings of diverse "walkable cities" where its clean, full of tree's coming out of every fuckin orfice, and every walk of life except a white man (but curiously tons of white women).

Adding onto this, most real Bible-believing churches (at least the ones I've attended) like to use the same translation between the entire church congregation, so perhaps your translation choice might be influenced by that. Do be weary of translations like The Passion translation though.

Thousands of people CHEER as Secret Service Snipers HYPE up the crowd from a ROOF-TOP outside Charlie Kirk's Memorial Service. xitter

I'm still catching up; bgonthescene? I remember seeing that watermark a lot during the summer of love, which segues nicely into something I've been wondering the past few days. I'm sure many of you remember during the Rittenhouse episode in late August 2020, there was a couple, Joshua and Kelly Ziminski, hanging around Joseph "JoJo (the Chomo)" Rosenbaum that night.
I don't recall if it was brought up during the Rittenhouse trial - Joshua Ziminski couldn't make it.. because he was held by the prosecutors, Binger and Lunchman - but just before Rosenbaum got himself killed, it looked like Joshua Ziminski fired his gun in the air as a warning shot.

I googled them and I didn't immediately find anything about what happened to them during and after the Rittenhouse trial, but I've found an article from Sep 14 2022 about a separate trial underway for a pretty serious robbery, and a later article from Aug 12 2023 goes into some detail about Binger dismissing a whole heap of charges, including ones from that night with Rosenbaum in 2020, for a plea deal with Joshua Ziminski, and then during sentencing going "oh by the way, he admitted to selling guns to other felons, one of which was used in a murder" (claims that were never investigated). Judge Schroeder, yes the same one, according to that article sentenced Joshua and Kelly Ziminski both to 3 years in jail.

Anyway the reason I've been thinking about it is; the Ziminskis seemed to be idling around the riots, waiting for a situation to arise that they could make worse in some way, until they found Rosenbaum and managed to goad him into attacking Rittenhouse. And now that the entire US seems to be in a precarious situation, after a public, clearly politically motivated assassination, quite frankly all of the shameless, extremely public gravedancing reminds me of the Ziminskis, idling around, waiting for something they can escalate. Worse still, some of the more extreme ones posted in this thread remind me of Rosenbaum too.

I hope that they made Robinson watch the entire memorial today. I hope they make him watch it every day. I want his nose rubbed in how totally he failed at doing anything but committing a vile murder and galvanizing those he saw as enemies

Personally, I recommend the ESV Study Bible. Its been painstakingly made to be the most accurate translation as well as providing a ton of additional context and explanation to the more esoteric bits while also not shying away from inconsistencies or errors within.

Thoughtful consideration of His word is most important, as well as understanding any bible is the product of fallible mortal men doing their best to transcribe His word.

republicans apparently crashed grindr during charlie’s memorial service today. Isn't that heartwarming? I'm sure it's what charlie would have wanted
