My work on the Reichstag election mechanic is going well. Should have it all finished and pretty in a day or two.
Elections work on a proportional system like the Weimar Republic. Seats are allocated based on the number of voters divided by 60,000 (ie 1 seat per 60,000 voters). The color of the state represents which part is the most popular currently. Turnout is also an important variable since that means more voters. A state with a high population and high turnout may just carry you to victory.
These numbers are labeled as "expected" since they only come into play on election day, but don't worry there is no randomness. What you see is what you will get.
Not shown yet, but you can directly influence states through the gui, but your options are limited. You can increase the popularity of a leading party and increase/decrease turnout. A lot of your popularity will be decided by your choices, especially from the laws you pass.
Note that DAP and LER won't be active at start. They are minor parties that will come into play later.
