There's different types of forgiveness. There's cucked forgiveness and there's righteous forgiveness. Not sure how people have gone through life without noticing it.

Righteous forgiveness: I forgive the man that murdered my husband because of my faith and because I don't want to let it dictate my life and warp me into a hate filled person

There is no wrong form of forgiveness if said with true intentions.

You poison your life dedicated for hate. You can combat evil without holding that hatred for it. Those are still human people on the other side, even as they are your opponents. There are those who can be swayed. Those who can turn around and admit their faults and wrongs.

You forgive your enemies for yourself. So that those who still refuse to change, refuse to turn away from sin. You do not cling onto the anger, the rage, the hatred. You can live your life knowing you gave them the chance to make their lives to honor something greater than themselves.

Not to power-level but work and family’s been rough lately. Something weird within me made me download the Bible and I spent about an hour reading the New Testament.

I’m still not a Christian or a Kirk fan and I don’t fully comprehend everything I read but I can’t deny feeling a little warmth in my heart.

I've been reading a digital version of the ESV Study Bible on my tablet! My first time as well reading it and I've been enjoying it greatly. It has lots of notes about almost every verse explaining the meanings/interpretations of some of the more confusing aspects.
