There's also the fact Jesus asked his Father to forgive the people killing him.

I think it's partially sincere (any devout Christian may do the same thing) but also partially performative/helpful in the aspect it gives her a reason to not have this murder dominate her life in public or private. It's meant as a way of releasing catharsis I think without actually carrying out any acts of revenge yourself; you also look like you're putting this shit behind you in an actually sincere way that doesn't just look like a pathetic cope like any number of lolcows on the site who claim something that's actually bothering them isn't bothering them at all ala Ian "I'm Stoic" Jomha.
