Wouldn't be surprised if this became a yearly event where various speakers gave a speech for what they've done to protect Charlie's legacy and how they fought to bring good about. Phenomenal mistake on the troon groomers part and also all the libs who cheered at his death afterwards. At worst Kirk would have been a very good candidate in what 10+ years. Now he's someone to measure against and it's quite difficult to live up to a martyr but it will mean the candidates coming are going to be of a higher caliber simply through knowing what the true enemy is and capable of.

It's considered one of the most influential positions in the US Government. If you're happy with Trump's staff selections, know that Susie probably had a hand in selecting and/or approving them.

I've been thinking about that comparison a lot, as many have been citing it since the murder. The thing is, I don't know that they're really comparable at all, in a way that really shows how far the current left has drifted from any kind of coherent political framework.

Maybe some of you remember this better than I do, but my friend group is actually fairly politically diverse IRL, as (like Charlie, I like to think) I'll talk to anyone as long as they're not insane and willing to be civil. As I remember it, the feelings about that killing were fairly non-partisan in dispersal because almost everyone either left or right has had some kind of experience with getting fucked by health insurance companies, and United Health appears to be particularly bad even considering the industry. I saw plenty of conservatives express a bit of schadenfreude at that one because they'd been given the runaround trying to get their grandma's surgery covered or something.

Charlie Kirk, though?? That gravedancing, on the other hand, is coming entirely from one very specific section of the left, which is why IMO it's so much more polarizing.
