Not just fat. There's a lot of things that are bad for dogs, like onions and garlic, that humans can't cook without. Dogs can't have grape skin because it can give them kidney failure. Human food is overly salted, too. It's fine to give your dog a bit of scraps but it should be a rare treat and not a daily occurrance. The Jomhas strike me as the types to give their dogs cooked bones because "dogs can eat bones because wolves can eat bones", failing to understand that a cooked bone become indigestible vs a raw bone becoming bonemeal as the dog gnaws away at it.
