Demand for voice actors must be real bad if he's still finding help for him of all people with this shit.
Anecdotal, but people I know are now actively going out of their way to avoid hiring self-proclaimed voice actors for their indie projects, union bullshit put bad taste in some mouths. Looking for people who describe themselves as Voiceover Artists gets you people who record commercials and such, who don't have a weird egotistical "Videogames are ART" bullshit layer atop it. Pragmatic, straightforward, affordable, and still more than good enough for 90% of projects.

Every update log that comes out makes me wonder what his God-forsaken jenga tower of code looks like now, even after witnessing the over 20k-line student script.

He’s definitely being farmed for demo reel content at this point. A forever project with an ever-increasing number of voice lines is a great target.

From some personal experience regarding game development, it’s honestly very insane that he’s been organizing work with VAs beyond simple and reusable lines. I really think the volume of (assumedly) free work that people contribute to this game has contributed to his stunted development approach.

Which has me thinking, does he actually have any sort of contract with any of his contributors? If not, they still hold copyright on their work. If the day comes where the game itself is actually released as a buyable product, any unaccounted “volunteer” could pretty much extort him for money, or at the very least get his game taken down if they became disgruntled. I’ve heard of fully released games getting wiped off the face of the earth because an artist fell out with the owner of the game.

In theory. On practice it moves so slow that even original VA's stated that they were uninvolved for years when 2023 happened.

simple and reusable lines
...are not something Alex is famous for, if you know what I mean.

I really think the volume of (assumedly) free work that people contribute to this game has contributed to his stunted development approach.
Yes and no. Even if Alex had the best gamedev slaves on planet Earth, his management is the equivalent The Room shooting process since like Tommy had no idea how to shoot movies (yet was able to create a masterpiece) Alex has no idea how to make games after 11 years of making one. The other problem is what he has now cannot be called "the best" even ironically. He had an ok crowd of volunteers when it all began, but as soon as they either saw him salivating over minors on private streams or found out that he is a pedo creep EvaXephon or basically realized that he is a moron they ran for the hills. He had some adequate contributors after that, but for the most part he just collected all the coomers with some skills that he was able to find by his own admission. Then as this pile of crap slowly went from "promising indie hit" to "never to be released buggy perverted mess" the professionalism of his crows followed it to the very bottom. Him being caught calling minors "skinny and hot" ruined the last opportunity of having anyone skillful, it is either minors who learned to model and animate through YT tutorials (and they are still better than Alex) or just plain on pedos and creeps like Alex. Perfect combination!

Which has me thinking, does he actually have any sort of contract with any of his contributors?
AFAIA the only one who claimed to have a contract with him while showing fuck all in terms of proof and probably being full of shit like always was ScameronF305. I have to wonder why in the fuck he needed a contract since his job was basically making covers of the music by Alex's ex-top simp ClevelandCuck. You might say "so Alex could have a copyright over them" but nope, despite Scameron claiming that, he ended up releasing it on vinyl. Also, I know Alex is a special kind of retard, but if he wanted that music so fucking bad, he could just pay some freelance composer to remix it and own 100% of the right for it. Something tells me it was Scameron's idea so he could use it as a proof of him being "a real composer" while all he can do is steal beats and his original work makes SoundCloud rap look good.

If the day comes where the game itself is actually released as a buyable product
Good thing Alex is safe in that regard.

Idk man, I think some ppl are either just dumb / young enough to sign up for this bullshit and think nothing of it, or they egnage in this sort of degenerate anime content themselves and YS is right up their alley (like Ayano VA) and don't give a shit about Alex's reputation. YS is so infamous that I don't think even porn games are going to hire you if your demo reel is from YS. You only have a chance with the worst of the worst. Who tf would want YS on what basically is their resume for a potential employer lol just saying.

You'd be surprised, actually. If anything, a lot of projects would consider talent being willing to work regardless of controversy to be a positive, not a negative. The last thing you want is some uncontrollable social event making your project suddenly distasteful, and for half your talent to fuck off. Yansim is portfolio poison more because its so fucking bland and soulless in its design than because of the reputation of it. Having to style match the most generic asset store items of all times is going to be hard to present on the portfolio.

And if you think that's a fairly optimistic interpretation, you're mostly right - But I cannot overstate how difficult the market is and always has been for freelance art. You really can't afford to say no, and its basically standard practice to carpet bomb any possible opportunity, even if you actively know you have no fucking chance, sort of like Tech Jobs. I'll put out a couple hundred dollar hiring post for just some basic UI element stuff and get back replies from character artists who've never made a nineslice in their lives, have no idea what that is, but are totally willing to learn for realz. Its exceedingly hard to stand out, and even the smallest filters like "have you worked on a serious project before" is enough to axe out most people because they've never gotten the opportunity.

Someone pumped the Patreon. It was so close to the $1000 mark for a while.

I am so glad that I don't know who currently voices the main character of the game but I do know 1,279 words or 7,241 characters about some random nigga that is apparently in the 1989 spin off mode of the game (he's not seen btw) Behind A Door (according to the official website). I am really glad I know about Torahiko Aishi who without a doubt will be crucial character to the game! Lore of the first rival compared to random character #4920158. Really can't wait to see the next Easter Egg

September 2 bug fixing build (archive)
Aw, shucks! I received a lot of negative feedback regarding the “Increased Saturation” change made to the previous build. It seems that the overwhelming majority of people strongly dislike it. A lot of people suggested adding a toggle so that it could be enabled or disabled at the player’s discretion – but, because so few people actually like it or want it, it seems that making a toggle would be a waste of time. I’ve decided that it makes more sense to just disable it.

I didn’t want you guys to have to wait two weeks or more to get a new build that doesn’t have the “Increased Saturation” effect, so I decided to just hurry up and release a build with the effect removed…and also a handful of other improvements and fixes, as well.

To read a list of everything that changed in the latest build, scroll down past this video of a happy dancing Ayano cosplayer named princ3ls!

You can find some more Yandere Simulator dance videos if you scroll through her channel, so make sure to take a look at the rest of her videos, too!

Improvements

  • In order to prevent a bug from happening, I manually forced the game to always activate outlines and rim lights, regardless of the player’s preferences. However, it appears that this bug is no longer happening, so from now on, the game will remember the player’s preferences regarding outlines and rim lights.
  • Increased the volume of the footstep sound effects in the protagonist’s home, because they were so quiet that they were nearly inaudible.
  • Ayano’s voice lines now match the volume of Info-chan’s voice lines during the “Info-chan introduces herself to Ayano” cutscene.
  • There is now a “sliding door” sound effect when the protagonist opens the sliding doors that lead to her home’s garden.
  • There is now a “opening door” sound effect when the protagonist leaves her room.
  • Many of the Info-chan voice lines that play during gameplay are now louder.
  • Adjusted Juri Nagasawa’s likes/dislikes to be more logical for her.

Fixes

  • If the player killed Osana with a lethal poison and sedated Raibaru with a sedative at the same time, Raibaru would get stuck in a state of trying to finish her “reacting to getting sedated” animation and her “reaction to Osana dying” animations at the same time. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player was sent to the guidance counselor while a student was investigating an object on the ground, the investigating student would lose their walking animation and would “glide” to their destination once the player exited the counselor’s office. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player entered SNAP Mode while a student was concealed in a body bag, the student’s corpse would become visible again, poking out of the body bag. This bug has been fixed.
  • In the animation that plays when transitioning into SNAP Mode, the “Heartbroken” text was still visible onscreen. This bug has been fixed.
  • There was a big white cube inside of the 1st floor west girls’ bathroom. This was unintentional. It has been removed.

September 3 bug fixing build (archive)
Aw, shucks – there was a game-breaking bug in the previous build. Sorry about that! Here’s a new build that should have that issue resolved.

Improvements

  • You know the “My painting sucks, I need someone to improve it” Task? The paintings that appear when the player is performing that task are AI-generated. An artist has begun to produce original artwork that I can use to replace the AI-generated images. Wonderful! As of now, only 2 paintings are replaced, but as more artwork is delivered, I’ll gradually replace the rest of them until all of the AI-generated images are gone.
  • In Custom Mode, it is now possible to give female students a custom gym uniform texture by replacing the texture named “FemaleGymUniform.png” in the StreamingAssets\CustomMode\Textures\Uniforms\Female folder.
  • In Custom Mode, it is now possible to give male students a custom gym uniform texture by replacing the texture named “MaleGymUniform.png” in the StreamingAssets\CustomMode\Textures\Uniforms\Male folder.

Fixes

  • Hey, did you know that video games legally aren’t allowed to use a “red cross” to represent health? It’s true! For this reason, the official artwork of “Hanzo Aishi” has been updated to feature a green cross instead of a red one. If you don’t see the green cross yet, just wait 24 hours for the website’s cache to update.
  • In the previous build, the student data for 80s students was corrupted, which meant that any aspect of the game that grabs data for 80s students (socializing with a student, entering Custom Mode, etc) would result in bugs, such as getting stuck and being unable to exit menus. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player kidnapped a student, tortured them to set the “player should arrive at school late” flag, then exited to the main menu, loaded into their save, and reset the week, the “player should arrive at school late” flag would still be true. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player used the garotte to kill a student who was extremely close to a door, it was possible for the student to clip through the door upon turning into a ragdoll. This should no longer be possible.
  • If the player put a file named “CustomGym.png” into the StreamingAssets folder, the game would use it in 202X Mode, but not in 1980s Mode or Custom Mode. This oversight has been corrected.
  • A debug command to unlock all panties was left in the game. Oops! It has been removed.
  • A debug command to unlock all manga was left in the game. Oops! It has been removed.

New Yakuza Animations (archive)
Hey, wanna see something cool?

The cutscenes where Ryoba interacts with the Yakuza are now fully animated! This has been a dream of mine for a long time, and I’m delighted that this addition has finally been made to the game!

You’ll be able to see these animations in the next build!

September 15 build (archive)
Hello!

Before I begin working on the next rival (Kizana) I want to make a series of significant improvements to Amai’s week, and the most important one will be the addition of voice acting. 2 weeks ago, I predicted that, by today, I’d have a bunch of new voice lines in the game. However, I wanted to make absolutely sure that players will be happy with the new voice lines, so I’ve been spending some extra time working together with the voice actors, making sure the lines turn out exactly the way I imagined them in my head, etc. So, this build doesn’t have a massive wave of new voice lines like I hoped it would…but, I do have some good news for you, though! Earlier today, I gave my stamp of approval to a significant number of new voice lines, so I feel confident that the next build is very likely to have some new voice acting and animations in it!

The voice actors are volunteers, and I’m not entitled to take up 100% of their time; we work together when our schedules align. And, when our schedules don’t align, I make various different types of improvements to the game. (Like the Yakuza animations I showed off a few days ago.)

Since I’ve made a lot of additions/changes/fixes/improvements to the game since the last update, I decided that I may as well drop a new build so that the latest version of the game is nice and polished. To read a list of all those changes, scroll down past this amazing Ayano cosplay by Octobunn!

She’s done other Ayano cosplay TikToks as well, so scroll through her page and check them out!

Ryoba/Yakuza Cutscene Animations

I always hated the fact that the Ryoba/Yakuza interactions had no animations whatsoever, and all shared a single camera shot. So, I decided to request animations to accompany the voice lines that are spoken by Ryoba and the Yakuza! You’ve probably already seen the video where I showed off all the new animations, but in case you haven’t, I’ll link to it here:

By the way – I brightened up the alleyway that the Yakuza stands in, because it was almost pitch black, and created very poor visuals. I think it looks much better now.

Also, it is now possible to skip through the Yakuza’s dialogue much more quickly by pressing the Skip button seen at the top-right corner of the screen.

Info-chan Animations

The Yakuza isn’t the only criminal accomplice to get new animations in the latest update! In the Mission Mode menu, Info-chan now has animations for:

  • Welcoming you into her room
  • Idling while waiting for you to make a choice
  • Wishing you good luck on a mission
  • Saying goodbye when you leave

The production values of the Mission Mode menu have gone way up now that Info-chan actually moves around instead of remaining locked in a single pose!

Voice Lines for Amai’s Befriend/Betray Stealth Mission

One character DID get new voice lines this week – the husband of the bakery owner in Amai’s stealth mission! This guy:

Lines for other characters in this mission have also been recorded, and will hopefully be added soon!

New Paintings for Ryoba’s Art Task

All of the paintings from the 1980s Mode “fix my painting for me” task have now been replaced with new artwork that is human-created, rather than AI-generated!

Each illustration has two variations; the “original version” and the “fixed version” that Ryoba creates. For example…

Original:

Fixed by Ryoba:

Sometimes, the original versions are hilarious to me. I couldn’t stop laughing at this one, specifically.

If you’d like to take a look at all of the paintings in their full resolutions, this link should take you to a gallery of all of the artwork. If it doesn’t work, copy-paste this URL instead: https://imgur.com/a/vQpuw2U

Improvements

  • If the player kidnaps a student, gives them to the Yakuza, the Yakuza holds the student hostage for random, and then frees the student so they can come back to school, that student will be “traumatized” and will use a different walk animation, have dead eyes, etc. If the player socializes with a traumatized student and compliments them, the traumatized student’s dialogue will be different, reflecting the fact that they feel numb after their traumatic experience and are not really paying attention to the player’s words.
  • Hey, you know that little string of text at the bottom of the screen that displays the date that the current build is from? It will now display how many times you have saved and loaded the game. This is a piece of information I need to be aware of when you’re reporting a bug, and I want to be able to see that information for a fact when I review a screenshot or video of a bug report.
  • Adjusted Fureddo’s likes/dislikes to make a little more sense for him.
  • Updated the 202X “POOL’S CLOSED” artwork.
Also…

  • The “rival wakes up and realizes she is tied to a chair in the player’s basement” cutscene has been updated to feature Osana’s new hair model.
  • The “Stalk Senpai while he walks to school with Osana” cutscene has been updated to feature Osana’s new hair model.
  • The cutscene where Ayano talks to Info-chan for the first time has been updated to feature Osana’s new hair model.
  • The “Befriend/Betray” cutscene has been updated to feature Osana’s new hair model.
  • Osana’s suicide cutscene has been updated to feature her new hair model.
  • The intro cutscene has been updated to feature Osana’s new hair model.

Fixes

  • If the player helped a suitor raise their stats and then tried to send a suitor to go meet a rival at a matchmaking spot, the suitor would agree to go but then would simply return to their normal routine, and the player would have to talk to the ma second time to get them to go to the matchmaking spot. This bug has been fixed.
  • Some players reported a bug that would cause the Journalist’s character model to appear solid white. I was not able to encounter this bug, but I did theorize about what may have been causing the bug, and changed something. Hopefully, the bug will stop happening now.
  • During the Kokona Tutorial, in the tutorial designed to teach the player about apologizing to a student after getting caught misbehaving, the student would react to the player misbehaving twice, instead of only once. This bug has been fixed.
  • During the Kokona Tutorial, if the player was in the “lifting corpse” or “being shoved” state when a tutorial ended, she would remain stuck in that state, making it impossible to complete subsequent tutorials. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player entered the Socialize screen with a student who had a “speech line” coming out of their head, the speech line would freeze and hover in midair during the social interaction. This bug has been fixed.
  • In Mission Mode, if the player failed a mission, Info-chan’s “The mission is a failure!” voice line would play on a loop instead of letting the game over music play. This bug has been fixed.
  • During the Kokona Tutorial, if the player had low sanity when a tutorial ended, Ayano’s eyes would remain in the “insane” state even at the tutorial menu screen. This bug has been fixed.
  • After Osana’s hair model was updated, the hair clip that Osana’s suitor gives to her was no longer appearing correctly on her hair. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player socialized with a student with the Vengeful or Snitch Persona, their subtitles would not display properly. This bug has been fixed.
  • During Osana’s week, from 4:00 PM onwards, Senpai became unable to pathfind to his destination at the school fountain. This bug has been fixed.
  • In 1980s Mode Mission Mode, in student profiles, the “Crush” text for rivals did not make logical sense. This has been addressed.
  • Science Club students had white outlines in Yandere Vision instead of the correct color. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player saved, loaded, then killed a male student, the game would freeze. This bug has been fixed.
  • In Custom Mode, hairstyle #218 wasn’t working properly. This bug has been fixed.

“Why this instead of that?”

Whenever I add something to the game that is unrelated to the rivals, I often see comments like…

“Why did you work on this instead of working on the rivals?”

“Wow, he’ll do anything but work on the rivals!”

The paragraph at the top of this blog post is my response. I *wanted* this build to contain a bunch of new voice acting and animations for the current rival, but I can only get new voice lines when the voice actors are available, and they’re not always available.

There was a period of time when one of the voice actresses couldn’t record, because her microphone broke. There was a period of time when a voice actor wasn’t available because he was on vacation with his family. All of the voice actors have full-time jobs, and graciously record lines for me in their spare time, when they’re able to. I don’t have a monopoly over their time. Although I’d be happy to just sit down and bang out absolutely every necessary voice line in one giant 12-hour session, that’s just not the way it works.

“He’s trying to blame the voice actors for everything!!”

Nope. As I’ve said many times, I know that I’m not entitled to free volunteer work. I’m lucky that anyone is providing me with their time and help for free, so I’m grateful for whatever I get. If the volunteers are busy with stuff going on in their life, I just have to accept it. It’s fine; I’ve got a million other tasks to work on, anyway. While waiting for the volunteers to become available again, I just work on other stuff.

When I add something to the game that isn’t related to the rivals, it doesn’t mean that I deliberately prioritize trivial things over the rivals; it means I couldn’t make progress on the rivals during that 2-week period, but tried to remain productive anyway.

“The stuff listed above represents 2 weeks straight weeks of work?! That’s it?! That’s all you’re capable of over a 2-week period?!”

Nope. I’ve explained this many times, but I’ll say it again: Most of the stuff I worked on over the past 2 weeks is stuff that I can’t show you. Why? Various reasons:

  1. Although it’s meaningful and important, it’s not something that can be communicated by a screenshot or video.
  2. It’s almost finished – I’m waiting on just one last improvement – and I don’t want to show it until it’s 100% ready.
  3. It’s related to plot spoilers, or it’s related to a big surprise I have planned.
For example: One of the things I did over the past 2 weeks was to completely re-write all of Amai+Senpai’s dialogue for Amai’s week. The dialogue had to be re-written because most of Amai’s events have been re-designed, and the old dialogue was no longer accurate to the new events. (This was also a good time to change much of the wording of Senpai’s dialogue to address complaints that I got about the way he was characterized during Amai’s week.)

Re-writing the dialogue was an important thing to do, but it’s an accomplishment that doesn’t show up well in a video or screenshot (like the Yakuza animations), so you won’t really “feel” how much work I’ve done until the future, when the new dialogue is voiced and featured in-game.

“Working together with the voice actors” is another thing that I can’t really take a screenshot or a video of. I can only explain it with text.

Sometimes, a voice actor nails a line on the first try. But, other times, I need to provide feedback and “coach” the actor until they eventually achieve the ideal performance. I give very thorough feedback to actors – paragraphs upon paragraphs – to accomplish this goal. Sometimes, I’ll even record myself reading the character’s line exactly the way I imagine it and ask the voice actor to mimic my performance. It’s hours of work, and it’s super important for the game, but it doesn’t translate into a screenshot I can post here to wow you and impress you.

In short: Just because an update doesn’t contain anything related to the rivals, it doesn’t mean that I wasn’t spending many hours working on things related to the rivals. It just means that my recent rival-related work isn’t something that can be communicated by a screenshot or video.

Please keep these things in mind.

From someone who's been lurking this thread and following this guy for nearly 10 years, it's kind of unique on how he's a far cry from when he started.

First, he seemed like one of the biggest developers on the Internet constantly making it on the top trending videos on YouTube, but when other notable solo developers such as the Undertale dev and the FNAF dev came out with their project and the novelty of the game wore off, he had been getting less popular, but still maintaining a sizable fan base.

Then the initial controversies came out, stuff like the EvaXephon past and old fanfiction, and Twitch streams. While not enough to smear his image, the cracks showed and him fanning the flames with calling people gremlins didn't help at all. His YouTube channel, the main form of contact to his fans, would slow in uploads, but still upload enough to show there was still hype with each video pulling a million plus views easily.

Then the pedo allegations and creepy audio clips. Finally, it destroyed whatever good will the majority of fans had for it with only the naive, the hard-core, and us observers being his only fans left. His YouTube channel is effectively dead. I don't think he streams much on Twitch or Vidya anymore and if he is, he's probably not doing anything interesting enough to warrant a post here.
He's just stopped with drawing any more unnecessary attention to himself.
In a way, it's praiseworthy cause he knew when to stop which is more than I can say for most lolcows here. Whether he actually stopped being a creep is another story though.
I'm just a little disappointed though in how it looks like his story's ending. Just in perpetual uneventful development like his game.

First, he seemed like one of the biggest developers on the Internet constantly making it on the top trending videos on YouTube
That's how I found his channel. I was interested in learning game development (thank God I didn't continue in that direction) and I was happy that he was straight to the point, showing off new features and how they connect to each other. I was hoping he'll even show code snippets or how to code something properly (very :optimistic: looking back). At least he showed what not to do.

The best thing that came out of this project were videos from a youtube channel that was called "Nice Tomeetyou". The person behind it had proper knowledge of unity and OOP and gave many insightful tips. The videos were comparison between how the game does things and how to do them properly. Unfortunately, there are no archives and the channel has been deleted.

He's just stopped with drawing any more unnecessary attention to himself.
I think he has a job now and YS is on the back burner. Even the last update is mostly a showcase of volunteer work - animations, VA and art, all of which are outsourced and minor bug fixes.

Well I'll give him credit he is fixing the mess that is the code but at the same time it's like he's trying his hardest to do that to get out of actually doing stuff like putting in rivals. Really he was doing good when he had help from people would know what they were doing. But then again when they actually did anything right he complained

Oh man, I remember that YouTube channel. Some of their videos were even posted in this thread. I think YanDev's fanbase harassed them into taking the videos down.

but still upload enough to show there was still hype with each video pulling a million plus views easily.
Lol, no. Even back then his videos started falling under 1 million. Maybe this is why he slowed in uploads since it didn't give him the same dopamine hit as before. Also he was getting shorter on artists for that crap.

Then the pedo allegations and creepy audio clips.
People in the YS sphere had known for years that was and still is a pedo. The rest of the people just knew that he is a creep.

Finally, it destroyed whatever good will the majority of fans
Again, no. Check his patreon. Yeah, we could speculate all day that he is boosting it, but I doubt he is the only one donating. And there are still a ton of people making videos about this trash in a positive light.

In a way, it's praiseworthy cause he knew when to stop
Yeah, this is why he still wants to make Hate and Shame 2, sure. He stopped because he is afraid to get ridiculed again and this is why his uploads slowed down after 2020, since his delusional fragile ego won't be able to take it. He is a cornered rat, albeit his discord corner is full of dickriders, coomers and pedos like him. He is still very active there, we just don't have anyone willing to get the milk.(I am not going either, I did more than anyone was willing to)

I think he has a job now and YS is on the back burner
That's the most retarded thing I saw here since "Alex is not a pedo". The only job he's ever had was that gig at Kungfu Factory, his LinkedIN is the best indication of that. For the longest time he claimed that he was a freelancer, but after some digging I can surely say it was either a lie or he tried to be one, failed, but called it that to protect his ego. Why? Firstly, there is no traces of him doing freelance - no portfolio, no Github forks, nothing. Fuck, he didn't even have version control until TinyBuild Saga. IN 2018, 4 YEARS INTO DEVELOPMENT! Secondly, no one ever came out to claim that he worked for them. Yeah-yeah, "how would they know", but believe me, they would, Alex's code has become a meme among coders, when someone commits a crime against OOP there is always mandatory comparison to his noodle abyss. Thirdly, considering all of this, he is too shit to do anything. He can't code, animate, model, fuck, he can't even draw. The only gig he talked about was making audiobooks, but come on, he can't act for shit. He can't even copy the existing work, just try to listen to this and not die from cringe.
How does he live then? Well, just like he's always been - his parents pay his bills. They aren't super rich, but I'd say they are upper-middle class. They had a big ass house in LA back in the day and that's worth something.

'm just a little disappointed though in how it looks like his story's ending. Just in perpetual uneventful development like his game.
People said it in 2023 and then you know what happened. I am sure he has something in store for us. I just hope someone not retarded enough is going to spill the beans about everything going on there.

Oh man, I remember that YouTube channel. Some of their videos were even posted in this thread. I think YanDev's fanbase harassed them into taking the videos down.
IDK, for some time I thought it was that retarded ex-volunteer kgon. He had that weird love-hate relationship with Alex where even though he made fun of him for asset flipping, he still defended him from more serious accusations. He also used speech generator like Nicetomeetoyou and around the same time he had a tard out where he demonstrably took down all the videos from his channel like some sort of revenge against the rest of Alex's haters. He then reupped them, but that channel was still gone since he deleted it, not unlisted the videos. Who knows, maybe it wasn't him at all.

First, he seemed like one of the biggest developers on the Internet constantly making it on the top trending videos on YouTube

He got the golden ticket by having so many popular youtube gaming channels playing his game (the top 3 being Pewdiepie, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye) and then he just fumbled the bag. Going viral on youtube is an indie developers wet dream and Alex was too much of a retard to not self destruct.

This pretty much sums it up, most people would take the opportunity and give it their all but Alex isn't!most people.
