Kimmel losing his show is well deserved after how blantent the lying was. The FCC getting involved was needed and ABC could still get hit with a large fine over it.

Does anyone know where I can find one of these? Protest in London against Trump landing in the United Kingdom.

They should unironically buy 150 of these and throw them around in like a MAGA rally for people to have fun, if it ever happens again. I swear to God, when they try to meme, it always fucking backfires in spectacular ways. Hell, make RFK and Trump beach volleyballs too.

“FCC Section 73.1217 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) addresses broadcast hoaxes and prohibits any licensee or permittee of a broadcast station from disseminating false information about a crime or catastrophe if they know the information is false, if it is foreseeable that the broadcast will cause substantial public harm, and if the broadcast in fact directly causes such harm. Substantial public harm is defined as immediate, direct, and actual damage to property or to the health or safety of the general public, or the diversion of law enforcement or other public health and safety authorities from their duties. A "crime" is any act or omission that makes the offender subject to criminal punishment by law, and a "catastrophe" is a disaster or imminent disaster involving a violent or sudden event affecting the public.

Not only that, but criminal referrals can be sent to the Department of Justice, for anything from incitement of political violence to treason.

Enjoy prison, propagandist child.

"Unbelievable. How can they ruin someone's career just because they said something someone else didn't like, even if it is true? I don't understand how this can happen. It's so unfair to have your life and career ruined because you said something offensive to a certain group of people." ~ The left right now. Unironically.
There is seriously nothing on this planet I hate more than a hypocrite. I really hope the government can make reddit suffer at some point, I am so sick of these people.

The format sucks honestly. The idea of upvoting helpful answers to the top is a good idea on paper but in reality all that happens is any opinion other than the hivemind is downvoted into oblivion. Unironically I think the site would become infinitely better if they just removed the ability to downvote people across the entire site. Hiding opinions you disagree with is why people behave this way.

Here's the thing, in principal I don't necessarily think he should've been cancelled. I suppose indefinitely means there's a possibility it can come back in some form but probably unlikely. I think he could've issued a retraction/apology to the Kirk and that probably would've sufficed, even if it would be completely insincere. I still don't watch his show, nobody except boomer liberal winemoms in the 65+ demo watches late night network TV shows anyway. It was probably going to get cancelled/downsized/converted into a podcast since all of these shows are a net loss for the big 3 television corps anyways.

Buuuuuuuut...

You reap what you sow, and you get what you fucking deserve you unfunny faggot.

The reason you're seeing apoplectic rage among the left is because this killed the "shooter was a MAGA groyper" narrative anchor dead in its tracks.

Now "Jimmy Kimmel just got fired holy shit" is part of the normie consciousness, and so is the reality that the shooter was indeed a leftist.

I don't think he should have been pulled for (very likely) being wrong about the shooter's motives. He wasn't calling for any violence, supporting the shooter's actions, or even just making a joke directly about Charlie Kirk or his character (which he absolutely should still be able to do regardless of whether I agree with it or find it in poor taste).

Kimmel's ratings have been declining big time for a while--its more likely ABC was looking for an excuse to kill his show and used this as a pretext. His show was hot trash and that probably has more to do with it.
The ABC Affiliates rebelled. See while we think of ABC as the big national network, the truth is they don’t own the stations that carry their programming. They don’t own the channels. Not even the cable channels. I believe all ABC actually owns is the New York and LA stations. Everything else is owned by affiliates who choose to carry ABC’s programming. This is the same for any of the traditional terrestrial broadcast networks. Even the cable rights are split by broadcast area so your cable is carrying your local affiliate, not the national feed.

The large ABC affiliate owners groups just informed ABC that they would be pre-emptying Jimmy Kimmel permanently on all of their stations. This is a rare event. But has on occasion happened. The Affiliate Stations realize exactly what Kimmel is saying. What he means. And they aren’t buying it anymore. This wasn’t the FCC or Trump. Or even a question of speech. The broadcast stations as a group declared they will no longer air his vile divisive shit. There is no place for his type of arrogant vile bullshit within their broadcast areas. They’ll throw up Mr Ed or Magnum PI reruns instead to fill that time slot.
