You are almost there. You are right, constitutions are for civilized societies but we have a large subset of the population that is mighty uncivilized which is the problem. We have people that will do everything they can to subvert and deny you your constitutional rights, but when we decide to give them a taste of their own medicine suddenly all the rights they have been trying to destroy are now the most sacred thing to them because deep down they know it is the thin line keeping them safe. They will cheer for you getting shot dead for expressing free speech only to cry about free speech when they get fired for it. They do not respect the constitution and you can't reason with people who want nothing more than you dead. If you want to keep the Tree of Liberty strong and healthy you are going to need to water it. A lot of people are starting to wonder if it is time to water it with progressive commies because it is currently getting watered with patriots.
You have to "push back" on those things because they exist right now; the Constitution didn't prevent them at all. As the electorate continues to be diluted with third-worlders, illiterates, innumerates, and so on, they will continue electing more legislators who will continue passing laws that violate the Constitution. The country will continue to be stolen from you. But yeah, go read some documents from the 1700s, definitely a comfortable pacifier.

These policies don't represent the Constitution in the best light at all I agree, but we can use our Constitution to change all of that if people cared about our Constitution. People don't care about it because they aren't taught about it at a young age like our ancestors were. We defeated the Department of Education which prohibited out Constitution and Founding Fathers be taught in school and they're gone now, it's time to start teaching children about Our Constitution so they understand what that "piece of paper" did for us and what it continues to do for us. We need to teach our Children about ways modern politicians have violated our Constitution so when they are of age they can fix these kinds of things in their own future. That's how America works, change comes from us and it works that way because our Constitution grants it. Most other countries that even have their own Constitutions don't allow this.

In fact they are importing people from all over who also do not care about the constitution and once that hits critical mass, it is over. We are in a time of crisis and if you want to save the constitution you are going to need to break it. Do you think Lincoln would have won the Civil War if he followed the bill of rights to the letter? While I agree we need to teach the constitution more in schools, we also need to teach the story and values of Cincinnatus. A man the founding fathers clearly respected and is the kind of man we need right now.
