I meant the police do for them. Cops do not like when citizens are able to defend themselves cause that means the cop's job is a bit less needed and undermines their authority. If people took care of themselves and didn't need cops, they'd have to on welfare cause god knows police entry have a 105IQ limit.

Cops don't like CCW and gun proliferation because that means there's a higher chance anyone they interact with could have a gun. Cops would much rather deal with completely harmless people all day than a single person that has the ability to make a situation life or death in under a second. Now CCWs are unlikely to be those dangerous individuals, but at the same time dirty cops don't want to run the risk of invoking FAFO if they start infringing on the wrong guy or doing other really stupid maneuvers (no knocks raids are the dumbest things you could possibly pull on a family man).

My buddys a cop. He said he fears traffic stops the most since theres a higher chance the person may chimp out and shoot at him depending on how they react to getting pulled over. Theres several body cam videos of police getting shot and the criminal runs away.

In a world where the law was enforced with moral discretion, ccw laws would help put actual criminals away for longer amounts of time. However with the revolving door system we seem to have it's more of a intrusion of freedom rather than an actual crime stopping tactic.
