The adaptation was gas the fuck are they talking about. Bocchi the Rock was considered one of the best anime of the year in 2022. It's not bad by any stretch of the imagination; it's just somewhat underground.

What is the truth behind that Screenwriter? Did she really "groomed her child to be genderless" as Chibi said or it was poorly translated? Looking for the context behind the entire thing.

The Japanese quote he listed alone meant nothing by the way. It just means "romance is likely not the most important thing for personal growth IMO".

But if what he said was at least 70% true shit is doomed, there is a reason why you see much less Fanservice scenes in anime recently and this is possibly why.
