There needs to be a safer alternative for the children and future of this nation. Perhaps a messaging system for schools that DOESN'T come preloaded with every child grooming gooner already on it?

Not at all, as far as I can tell. It immediately eliminates potential arguments like "I'm being politically prosecuted and they planted that on me because they needed fall guys for this political assassination." Nor is there any legal advantage in consenting to the search. I don't know Utah law, but there is no doubt under the federal Constitution that even if they improperly searched his phone, it would be valid evidence under an exception to the warrant requirement because they would have looked at his phone to see if he was working with the shooter. Still, consenting to the search—absent use of force, threat, etc.—immediately removes most arguments that the police shouldn't have looked at it in the first place.

That's why when Rekieta refused to consent to the police searching his cocaine trap house, he wasn't legally in the wrong. He was just a huge whiny dick about it.

I wonder why the person in a stressful situation is behaving abnormal? Speaking from personal experience, I lock in during an adrenaline rush. Its not abnormal for many people.
