They're moving DNS and rebranding. Some people think they have a way to get a defamation claim to work by the DNS name they chose*. A sane Federal judge will say no, but it's not worth the risk.

When someone sues, you don't want to battle in motions with them. You want to file an answer to the complaint and deny all the bullshit and admit the basic facts and then jump straight into discovery and trial prep and either have them lose the case in front of a jury or file a MSJ and chuck the case in the trash.

I'll grant you that they're both bad in front of the camera and their messaging is terrible, but can you name an alternative who'll be just as good at the job itself and also be a media attack dog? I don't think it's a good idea for Trump to repeat the mistakes of his first term by dropping cabinet members at the drop of a hat, making needless enemies, and creating this atmosphere of inept management such that the only viable candidates are swamp monsters like Bob Barr who definitely don't have any interest in furthering the MAGA agenda.
