As I mentioned in another thread, it's almost like a perfect mirror of what the left did over 110 years ago when they killed Stolypin. It's been said before, modern leftism is a secular religion.
There are articles of faith, there are heretics and apostates, there is original sin.

Yes, this is especially obvious for any of us who grew up in the bible belt during the 80s and 90s. I grew up around tons of overly annoying religious people. Like, you can't play video games cause it's devil worship and shit like that. And not as jokes, they were as serious about that as your modern leftist is about how Kirk was a Nazi (since I know it's probably hard for younger people to actually believe me when I say that because how farfetched it seems.) It was even more annoying when I became a teen and realized that these people were often extremely hypocritical. As a result I grew up very liberal leaning where I would question everything before taking it as fact.

To see the exact same thing happen to the left, the party that my entire childhood preached about being tolerant and having an open mind, annoys me more than I can even express in words. I've said it on the farms before but it makes me despise the terms liberal and conservative. The modern left, and by extension the Democrat party, is extremely conservative. They're not open to critical thinking, they don't want to change their ways, they don't want you to voice your opinion if it goes against the grain. They're not liberal by any definition of the word and I hate that they're considered liberal vs. the current Republican, "conservative" admin, that literally invited people from the Dems like RFK and Gabbard into high ranking government positions.

The parties have completely flipped ideologies in my lifetime and a lot of people don't realize it somehow. I see it all the time with my friends. They're older millennials and they trash talk Republicans all the time, but it's done from the mindset that we're still in the 90s. Like they unironically believe those silly "right wing religious people" have control over America. It continuously blows my mind that they can be so sheltered in freaking 2025. Especially when they complain about things leftists have caused (such as ruining American made entertainment via censorship) but somehow they can't put the 2+2 together to realize it's not the right doing all this shit. Makes me feel like I am going crazy sometimes because I wonder how people can be that oblivious as to what is happening in the world.
