In order to get to a place where it makes sense to mutilate and sterilize healthy children, trans ideologues must support and promote the claim that being trans is real, overwhelming, and irreversible. Nobody's going to buy their argument that society must allow and even celebrate the chemical castration, surgical castration, and the removal of healthy breasts of children if there's even a slight possibility that those children might change their minds down the line. Acknowledging the possibility of detransition is acknowledging the possibility that being trans might just a phase, or that it's curable, or that it's not even real, and nobody's going to accept trans "treatments" in those cases.

All of this explains why troons and the broader left deplatform detransitioners, but it does not explain why conservatives, Christians, the right, or "far right", all systematically, for some reason, don't platform detransitioners. It's not that hard, just put one on your show, give him or her (on which way detrooned) a major position in a part of an organization. Hell, Trump very easily could have platformed a detransitioner anywhere in his presidency thus far. Fuentes, Kirk, Walsh, anyone, could have invited one to their podcasts. This could have been done in 2022, and this easily can be done in 2025 with a Trump presidency and nationwide resentment towards trannies. Even fucking Asmongold and Rogan types could have streamed themselves talking with one or supporting detransitioning as a movement. Yet, nothing.

Having been involved with workplace troon drama myself, I can say with absolute confidence even HR hates trannies. It is incredibly easy to platform a detransitioning movement, yet no one has. Even if people tried to platform detransitioners at one point, they clearly did not do enough, since nobody on this thread mentioned it until recently, and detransitioning remains a fringe semi-academic topic, despite its obvious usefulness.

I think detransitioning would mean coming to terms with the fact that they irreversibly destroyed their body for a short-term high. What upsides are there to that move? Not to mention still needing drugs for the rest of their lives.

Probably the majority of trans people aren't beyond the event horizon. Once you have SRS or your gonads are fried, it might be pretty unlivable, but that's not most. Non-medicalized people and MTFs up to that point are basically physically unchanged, and for FTMs it's variable. Not every woman on HRT becomes a troll, although lots of them do. Anyway, there's lots of salvageable territory.
