don’t really think the appeal of true crime for women comes down to hating victims but rather as part of some weird misery complex I can’t quite articulate. They don’t really hate victims in general but as the audience seems to somewhat skew left there is a lot of selective bias in how certain cases are discussed, so of course in cases where a victim was right-wing those types wouldn’t sympathize the same way as other cases.

The sane democrats can't put this back in the bottle. This person is what a large portion, perhaps the majority, of the left looks like now. They're incredibly loud and they watch all the cable news shows and read all the articles, and this is what it turns them into. You can't convince this woman she's wrong. You can't have a conversation and walk her through logical conclusions starting from premises. You won't even be able to convince her to temporarily tone her manic bloodlust down for optics. This is why an increasingly common talking point on the right is spiritual warfare and demonic possession; it's literally more believable to think this woman is being controlled by some supernatural entity than it is to believe other human beings can be this way.
