Told a lot of people in my social circle over the past few days to get out and stay out of my life the second I heard their unhinged takes about this batshit insane and tragic news cycle.
For my entire life, I've possessed a high amount of tolerance when it comes to the variety of people I've surrounded myself with. I've always believed in the "marketplace of ideas" and not placing myself into an echochamber or secluded bubble.
Turns out, I do indeed have a bubble, and the bubble starts with blocking out people who have clear signs of psychopathy. First off, I don't want to be around people like that. Secondly, I am legitimately protecting my family and I's safety at this point.
I've told many people IRL that I am cutting ties with them, and that I'll pray for them to become better people from a distance.
It's not just the assassination of Charlie Kirk that's become the straw that broke the camel's back for me-- it's been the reaction. Of course we expected a ghoulish and heinous reaction from Democrat politicians and journalists ... But I don't think a lot of us were expecting our friends and neighbors to react with such ... Evil. Psychopathic evil, completely devoid of humanity.
There's some people on the left who aren't like this, but I've completely given up on believing that the repugnant demons of the left are not the majority. They are. They absolutely, undoubtedly are the majority of the Democrats now.
