South Park + Its Political Sperging (?) Thread - Season 26 ongoing!

Best song is the easiest fucking Oscar one can win, especially since competition tends to be super weak. And 2000 Oscars had a pretty weak field, to the point that a lot of people thought South Park had a good chance to win it purely because Trey and Matt were the new hot talent. Hell, they even got Robin Williams to sing the song at the Oscar, everyone thought it was going to win.

As for the Broadway Brodown, it was pretty clear and explicit with how Trey even breaks the fourth wall via Randy in the episode, explicitly stating that the main plot was him raging against not being immediately brought into the top tier broadway producer circle off the back of the success of Book of Mormon. And the ending IMHO ruins the episode as Randy pretty much kills Shelly's boyfriend in cold blood then justifies it in mocking fashion.
I have to agree now. Knowing that makes the ending needlessly mean spirited. Not because South Park hasn’t done crazy shit before (I mean Kenny alone), but because Trey’s real life seething makes it unhinged.

I guess the pattern of what makes the show fail when it does is their spergy tendency to turn it into a personal diary.

I get off work after midnight so there's not much to do than catch re-runs in the middle of the night, so I've been able to rewatch episodes from season 3 up until season 7 for the last few weeks and it really is night and day from what we're getting currently.

People are absolutely right when they say South Park is at its best when the main cast are just doing some kind of kid adventure shit because it really resonates to when I was the same age.

I miss how good and fun this show used to be.

Shitty shitty fag fag, how do you do?

What did the Spicoli guy do?
All I know is Sean Penn wrote them a butthurt letter about making fun of "Vote or Die", when really he was just upset at his portrayal in Team America, but that was over 20 years ago. Those were different versions of Matt and Trey, unless something else I'm not aware of happened.

“I remember a cordial hello when you guys were beginning to be famous guys around Hollywood. I remember several times getting a few giggles out of your humor. I remember not being bothered as you traded on my name among others to appear witty. I never mind being of service in satire and silliness.

I do mind when anybody who doesn’t have a child, doesn’t have a child at war, or isn’t or won’t be in harm’s way themselves is [saying] that ‘there is no shame in not voting if you don’t know what you are talking about'. You guys are talented young guys, but alas, primarily young guys. It’s all well to joke about me or whomever you choose. Not so well to encourage irresponsibility that will ultimately lead to the disembowelment, mutilation, exploitation and death of innocent people around the world. The vote matters to them. No one’s ignorance, including a couple of hip cross-dressers’, is an excuse.

All the best and a sincere fuck you,
Sean Penn

P.S. Take this as a personal invitation from me to you (you can ask Dennis Miller along for the ride as well) to escort you on a trip, which I took last Christmas. We’ll fly to Amman, Jordan and I’ll ride with you in a taxi 12 hours through the Sunni Triangle into Fallujah and Baghdad and I’ll show you around. When we return, make all the fun you want.”

It took some doing, but Sean Penn out-fagged them momentarily. Wow.

Reminds me of the barstool sports guy wanting to take those guys at the bar to a mandatory aushwitz tour after they put "f the Jews" on a sign

The worst episode so far was the one where they have Pewdiepie on. They didn’t do anything with him, they just had him on talking over the whole episode. I know everyone gets after the Simpsons for having Lady Gaga on, but no one gets after South Park for doing nothing with PDP. I’ve never seen a dead show so defended, but maybe that will change before too long.

They also completely miss the point of why people watch(ed?) lets plays.

To me, Pewdiepie didn’t even feel like a Let’s Play gamer. He always felt like someone who only appealed to lolsorandom girls. It’s telling how I didn’t know many male fans as I did female fans of PDP.

Boys only started to like Pewdiepie after he called someone a fucking nigger while playing PUBG and thus became a true gamer.

I might just be autistic about this but South Park feels weird when it talks about stuff like memes, let's plays, fortnite etc. Mainly because it comes off as someone who doesn't really understand this stuff talking about them. I'm not against the idea of Cartman, Stan and Kyle using zoomer slang and referencing zoomer trends, but for some reason the way the show does it makes it come off as tryhard. Like a 40 year old man trying to be hip. The show might unironically be better if it was stuck in a permanent 90s limbo where the kids aren't explicitly shown doing anything modern and just spend their time snowboarding, making snowmen, playing video games and having paintball tournaments.

Canada on Strike episode was when I noticed South Park had no idea what they're talking about when it comes to meme culture. Or was it the Faith Hilling episode? Both of them suck for the same reason.

So with Charlie Kirk being shot, can we get the last three episodes banned and Trey and Matt banned from Trump bashing/forced at gunpoint to apologize for the season complete with them explicitly having the last three episodes being retconned as a nightmare Randy has after the bank foreclosured on Tegridy Farms?

No. Trey and Matt will double down. If not justify Charlie Kirk being shot. South Park advocated for violence to happen to George Zimmerman. These kikes deserve zero sympathy.

Holy fuck I still can't believe this is for real. I mean, I'm not a fan of the dude, like at all. But that clip of the blood gushing out of his neck... Jeepers Cripes.

No, they'll double down and the media will say "its so heckin brave and patriotic to condemn this slain nazi. If you react in anger then lol u got mad!" Maybe M&T will then hope a lawsuit will finally descend upon Paramount.

This needs to happen. I'm not joking. I don't see any way Charlie survives this.
