I just wanted to share a little prayer with my fellow Christian mutts for these dark times. These are dark times and it feels like we are helpless, but we can still do something: pray. We have a direct line to the Creator and Sustainer of everything; let's make the most of it.

Holy Father in Heaven:
You are the Author and Architect of history.
You appoint the epochs and eras of all nations, including ours. You have also chosen me to be
a royal priest before You, and it is in that capacity I come to intercede for America.
Lord God, the United States has sinned grievously against You. For many years,
we have tolerated what should not have been tolerated. We have called evil good and good evil, and month after month, year after year, we have moved further from Your light, and every day we are reaping the consequences. But, Lord,
You have promised that should a nation repent of its evil, You will relent of the disaster You've planned for it. I cannot bring about repentance in America, but You can. So on behalf of the United States, I ask You to forgive us and restore our relationship to You. My ultimate home may be by Your side, but until my faith becomes sight America is my home, and
its good is my good, so I will pray on its behalf.
But, Lord, it is also true we have been deceived. With each day we receive new revelations as to the depth of the rot in this land, and it is horrifying. You and You alone know how deep it truly goes, and You know that the architects of America's corruption have set their hearts against You.
They have lied to us and
they deny justice to the innocent and prey on the weak.
They, the children of privilege, do so for no reason other than that they are able to. They have repaid our kindness with evil, blaspheme Your name, and profane a land that once proudly proclaimed, "One Nation, Under God."
Lord God, I ask You for wisdom for us and our nation. America is confused, angry, and
in dire need of direction only You can provide. But we also need Your might, Lord. I ask You to
drive them from our lands, to
smash their teeth in their mouths and
break them for the evils they've inflicted upon us. Do this, Lord, in such a way that the world may know that You alone are our God- El Shaddai, God Almighty, and that You will not suffer them to profane Your name or prey upon Your church.
My nation is afflicted, yet even still I will praise you, God, as He Who Saves. You hear the voices of Your suffering children, and You do not permit them to go unanswered. The day will come when all evil is answered for, when all sins are punished, when all wrongs are righted- in Your timing and Your way.
I pray this in the name of Your Son, the Great High Priest, Jesus Christ, Amen
