It's part of the US emergency health care system, responsive to FEMA, state, and local needs. Unfortunately, it seems that despite no announcement he's ahead in at least one primary poll (Texas Southern University, 1500 respondents) by like 20 points ahead of Allred (the declared). Same poll put Allred +7 against Talarico. Assuming that's not complete bullshit, it would suggest Beto is the better candidate than Allred (despite Beto's closer margin, Allred still had like a million more votes in the general election than he did) AND that Talarico doesn't have a good chance in politics despite a lot of noise in the media.

That may be so but as a disabled veteran the only thing I deal with the VA health care-wise are the hearing aids. All my other medical needs are easily met downtown. Have a neighbor who uses the VA for his medical needs and he has to go almost 100 miles to a large VA hospital for treatments, has to wait a long time. And the VA treats disability compensation as if it was coming out of their own personal pockets.
Probably as long as the government can keep the military and police happy and on their side. Things are apparently getting even more dire than usual there last I heard. As for how long that is, your guess is as good as mine.

They remodeled this place fairly close to me, and pops goes there fairly often, it's loads better than the place he used to go to that was nearly an hour away. They take real good care of him, and it's been there around 5 years now.
My dad is on 20 percent disability for some service related stuff I don't want to really get specific about, he was a Marine airplane mechanic during the vietnam era. they hand out 100 percent far too easily now.
I don't have it on hand but now it's harder to get 100 percent, there was a period of time between 2016-2020 where it was super easy but they tightened up on it. Heard that the VA might start reviewing cases as well.
Instead of forcing vets to fake injuries in order to have a shot at not being homeless, we should follow the Roman model and gift them a homestead and a bride. Kick out the foids too
PYM’s Aisha: How to Disrupt the F-35 Program
This may be the most alarming thing to come out of the People’s Conference for Palestine because it is a step-by-step playbook that America’s enemies could benefit from.
Aisha, a leader with the Palestinian Youth Movement, explained how activists could cripple the U.S. military’s crown jewel fighter jet program, the F-35:
“70% of the cost of the F-35 program actually comes from the supply chain… It functions off of this just-in-time logistics process… If one specific node of the F-35 supply chain is intervened in, it has a huge impact.”
She pressed the audience to study the system and attack weak points with precision:
“We need to be surgical. We need to be strategic. And we need to be bold in our actions. Because there are many different points of these supply chains of death that we can intervene in and we must intervene in.”
This is an operational roadmap for undermining U.S. defense readiness. Framed through Palestine, the implications reach far beyond. Imagine a global conflict where anti-American activists, taking these words literally, set out to sabotage the logistics of America’s crown jewel weapons systems.
I cannot overstate how radical and dangerous this really is.
Aisha Nizar: “Maersk Is a Target”
At the People’s Conference for Palestine, Aisha Nizar of the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) laid out a militant strategy: don’t just attack weapons manufacturers like Elbit Systems, but target the logistics companies that move U.S. weapons around the world.
“Instead of taking on a weapons manufacturer directly, we said let’s actually go at the veins carrying these weapons across… What we learned is that Maersk is actually using civilian infrastructure to transfer weapons. That’s a contradiction in and of itself… if they’re going to use our civilian infrastructure, that provides an opportunity for everyday people to intervene in the supply chain of death.”
Nizar tied this to the Maritime Security Program, which outfits commercial fleets to carry U.S. military cargo. Because Maersk makes up more than 50% of that fleet, she concluded:
“It’s not rocket science. The U.S. is sending $19 billion worth of military aid to the Zionist entity. Maersk makes up over 50% of this fleet. We know Maersk is a target. We know they’re embedded and profiting big off of our genocide.”
Many assume pro-Palestinian activists are just “useful idiots” parroting slogans. But Nizar’s remarks show a level of strategic sophistication: she’s not talking about chants or rallies, but about identifying chokepoints in global trade and weaponizing them. That should concern anyone who cares about any Western country or ally.

Her team claimed PYM research showed 280 military cargo shipments had left Oakland’s airport for Israel’s Nevatim Air Base since January 2025, framing the city as a model to “heighten the contradictions and set a precedent for the rest of the country to follow.”
Aisha told the audience to carry this into their own cities: “Get plugged in, sign up, learn what is happening in your locale, and demand an arms embargo.”
