Post-G4 Election mechanic:
tied to each state
each state has a support variable for each party and a turnout variable
seats allocated based on voters so turnout variable is a percent
number of seats from a state is population*turnout/80,000
seats from each state are divided based on support proportionally rounding up as needed (an extra seat from rounding is ok)
if there is only one seat from a state, then the party with the highest support wins
lost states are not included in calculations
gui changes state colors based on party support
Parties:
NSDAP (Nat Soc/Ultranat/Fasc)
NSDAP remnants that didn’t split off. Split into speerites, traditionalists, and militarists. Led by Goebbels eldest son. Will generally try to consolidate a dominant party system.
People’s Union Party (soc con/soc dem)
Christian democrats and socially conservative, though mainly Catholics. Primarily appeals to working and middle class through generous social and welfare policies. Minor split over economics. Will pursue governmental reform.
Reich State Party (lib dem/mar lib/auth dem)
Bizarre alliance between social liberals and free market capitalists, and not stable in the slightest. Can either pursue reform or abuse the system. Even the social liberals can abuse the system to pursue their agenda.
Alliance For Labor and Freedom (lib soc/auth soc)
Socialists of the marxist variety but they eschew calling themselves that for image reasons. Start off led by moderate branch with Will Brandt as Fuhrer. If he lets the radicals out of control they will cut him out upon winning the second election (for radicals you need to win both elections during the 70s). Moderates pursue reform – radicals do something terrible.
German Aryan Party (burgsys)
Burgundian front organization. Mostly irrelevant, until the incident.
League Of Rights Deprived (desp)
A party that appears around the second election. Almost entirely composed of minorities. Mostly irrelevant, until the incident. Also funded by Burgundy.
Government:
Elections happen every 5 years
The largest party chooses the Fuhrer
The Fuhrer has overwhelming executive powers, combing the powers of the Weimar President and Chancellor and then some
Some parties will try to reform this overtime while others will seek to abuse it much as possible though this can vary even within party’s themselves
Setup:
G4 tries to set up their ideal German democracy and get a tree representing this that is impossible to complete
NSDAP remnants, reichsbanner, liberals, and the Wehrmacht force them to hold elections NOW NOW NOW and accept a modified weimar constitution
First free elections are held around 1973-1974
