People should tell reviewers that expending effort criticizing a thing is secretly evidence in its favor. Especially if the critic is compromised by identifiable prior biases and the subject is iconic.

You can affect subjective and pedantic rationales for anything.

What a low EQ faggot. It's one thing to have a low IQ, but it's even worse to also have a low EQ.

He never even liked the friend in the first place, and people can feel it when you despise them. When he said, "I've done my time," it translated to ''our friendship was as bad as rotting in jail.'' The friend must have thought, "Well, excuse me that spending time with me is such a chore!"

No wonder he pushes everyone away. Only a Yes-Man masochist fag like Egad, Brian C., or Ricardo could bootlick a guy who, deep down, hates you for even a slightly different opinion.

You told me to read this. The Boss and Snake developed CQC together. The Boss had nothing left to teach Snake (technically this is a lie and she was until the end teaching him both how to be a true soldier and that he shouldn't be, but Snake is genuinely retarded so he didn't figure that out). Snake beats up The Boss at the end of the game while recovering from severe injuries (he was completely bedridden a week earlier and didn't exactly have a smooth ride for the rest of the week, in case you forgot Operation Snake Eater begins 5 days after he falls of the bridge). Snake was more skilled than The Boss, but he simply wasn't willing to fight her until the end of the game.

It both makes sense and fits perfectly thematically that she is the final, well, boss and only by the end do you actually have the tools and skills to take her down. Technically, yes, but the only thing Snake lacked was the mentality of a soldier, the willingness to follow orders at all costs and to treat no man as a forever friend. However, in reality this was not what he really lacked, and in becoming the perfect soldier he became the villain known as Big Boss, a man who viewed himself as nothing other than a gun and who later abandoned his own poorly formed ideals because his mentor put down her gun to save the world (Peace Walker, although this is tremendously stupid and only happened because Kojima actually believes The Boss was right).
