Nobody usually asks the VP because it’s just assumed that they agreed to it when they took their oath. Even when the president is young, an assassination or freak health event could take the POTUS out at any time and the VP must be ready to go. The question is asked at the VP debate and that’s it.
However I’ve heard that either Biden or people close to him picked Kamabla knowing she was incompetent and unelectable. They picked her as insurance against the 25th Amendment. I suspect it had more to do with the cancer than the dementia.

My theory is maybe he's sick, but like most politicians, the best doctors available, and a priceless amount of modern medicine will bring him back from the brink and it will be "business" as usual. We can only be so lucky. I hope he at least dies before we have the ability to put people in robot bodies. At that point all the current politicians will throw away their humanity for the opportunity to render themselves impossible to remove from office.

There have been cases of Russians using radioactive material to poison leaders I think. But that would mean Putin is just as dead. It’s one of those crazy ideas that just might be plausible, however.

He probably had a health scare which is bad news for him. So he can play Golf but how long until the next issue? He is old so it's not going to get better. FFS he did 3 (!) press conferences in a row not long ago because he was demented and forgot he had the first and second one. It's only a matter of time until his body or what's left of his mind gives up and then it's over with MAGA.

At the very least Trump got to see people actively speculating and preparing to celebrate his death, which must be a blow to his pride. Hopefully he sees what happens when he disappears for a couple days and will push himself to not do it again which will cause his actual death. I could totally see Trump pulling a William Henry Harrison and putting himself at risk of illness solely for his own ego.

The fact is whether he’s ok or not the VP should never have commented about being ready to take over. It leads to people speculating and that looks real bad.
Notice no top democrats spoke about Biden’s very obvious decline. Because it shows weakness to our enemies.
