Tell this jew to stfu. He says trump should call for a summit of mayors who's cities are so called crime ridden.
No! This is a great idea! You can't have a public flogging without getting everyone together!
Most likely yes of course, but with the amount of conflict we regularly see now between the federal government and states/cities that openly defy them and form networks with each other? I wouldn't be absolutely floored if we get Civil War II by then. Especially if it looks like Democrats can't win and can't cheat.
Don't get your hopes up.
Assuming nothing major happens between now and then, there's not a conceivable cheat that could be done that won't get flagged immediately thanks to the 2% rule. (About 2% of the vote in any election is "tolerably" fraudulent, which is to say margin of error be a bitch like that sometimes.) There's no "getting away with it," too much would need to be done and they'd have to cop to literally stealing the election box just to get there. At that point the jig is up, they can all eat shit, and the spirit of the law will trump whatever letter anyone wants to appeal to, TDD achieved.
I am becoming increasingly worried about the amount of power being concentrated in the Executive and within one political party (Republicans). Without a second viable political party to vote for, it means that the one party ruling the country can start doing whatever it wants. We already see this with how many EOs Trump signs and the various things that are obviously illegal trying to be pushed through. Things such as trying to punish people for exercising their 1st amendment rights--such as supporting BDS or other anti-Israel platforms.
So, right off the bat, we've listed something that has actually voided protections. ON THE FACE OF THINGS, I would agree with you, however thanks to a lot of turds in the punch bowl, BDS and being anti-Israeli is actually coinciding with a lot of action beyond speech, which is not protected. This is a problem the left has in spades and it really needs nipping in the bud. They let their TDS run wild which leads to giving Trump legal excuses to bitch smack some hoes which leads to "evidence" of TDS being correct, which leads to TDS running wild, which leads to giving Trump legal excuses to bitch smack some hoes... cycle repeats. In this case, the left got caught protecting and facilitating unironic terrorism in a bunch of colleges country-wide, yeah Trump has cause to put the kibosh on organizing if there's a legitimate threat of criminal action. There is crow, and the longer it goes uneaten by the left on this, the worse it will taste. And before any muh-both-sides talk commences, we just had two cases of troons getting pinched for wanting to go bloviate their politics with bullets while the right wing of politics is notoriously less wed to collective identification and thus justifiable generalization of members into that collective. It's not that there's no rabid righties out there, just go look a the Nick Fuentes thread, it's that said fagaloon glows so hard it can be seen from space and people aren't afraid to call him out for it while not being the only one who gets decried for trying to push political violence. Almost like no cow-tipping is a great rule for discussion forums, no?
So what's left? Only the judicial, where activist judges have been trying to wrangle Trumps' various EOs, to varying levels of success. But honestly they're also incompetent and I think as these cases make their way through the courts, sometimes up to the Supreme Court, they will, mostly, go Trump's way.
Stop letting TDS run the party's brain and let the Orange Man fail unaided. Christ, ya'll had a golden opportunity with the Epstein files and here comes Ro Khanna looking to profit off it and prove that the Dems don't give a rat's ass about any kids and fuck the optics up so badly we're back to the only person who can even claim to care about any kids in this situation is Trump!
So 2026 comes around. Is there anyone on the right that would vote Democrat?
No. The left is so toxic they'll prefer doing the Family Guy ipecac challenge over drinking cyanide.
With the voting registrations being cleaned up and the ability to cheat being mitigated, it doesn't seem like the Democrats will make much progress. Therefore, I believe the Republicans in 2026 will comfortably win the House and the Senate. Once this happens it'll be near impossible to prevent them from passing whatever legislation they want.
And the Dems, if they wanted to learn, would realize, "Oh holy crap we're pariahs and should change that,
2024 was the cold water to the face after passing out drunk outside. There will not be another for them.
Whether it be anti-free speech laws under the guise of anti-pornography, the lack of regulations against payment processors, or endless gibs for Israel, there won't be the possibility of opposition. I really wish the Democratic party would change their platform, but I honestly think it's too late.
It's very inconvenient then that Trump has actually been taking more pro-internet freedom stances as of late. There's that E/O directly targeting payment processor fuckery and he's currently raw-dogging Europe for their censorious bullshit.
I know about that Mississippi law over anti-porn that Bluesky threw a bitch-fit over, but this is a state law and states are allowed to be retarded to a degree in their laws. Call me when the Republicans are going after VPNs and not shitting themselves in the process.
Once Trump is out in 2028, that will be the true test. Did the swamp actually get drained?
It's a long process but definite somethings are happening. Cautious optimism.
Will Democrats come back around to more common sense policies?
No. If Kamala getting creamed didn't do it, nothing will.
Will Republicans cuck for Israel and start a war with Iran?
No. The US is war weary and the Republicans will fracture to cater before committing to a draft.
Will de-regulation go too far and corporations rule supreme?
A leftie complaining about this is hilarious given big business loves you more than the free market.
Who're the 2028 candidates, are they actually decent?
JD Vance is looking heir apparent, so assuming nothing happens the Republicans have one.
How did the next 3 years of deportations go, and is the American citizenry up to continue it?
Good and yes.
How're things looking with the fent/drug crisis?
Cartel just got busted for millions and the US pissed off Mexico by saying they don't get a piece.
Is India a superpooer yet?
No but yes.
Is Canada a failed state yet?
Already failed.
Is Mexico still a narcostate?
Probably.
I don't think you have that good of a mapping of the other side of politics to be frank. Credit where it's due, you didn't resort to insults or "MUH FOOSCHISM!!!" grade arguments, but it is fair to highlight bad mental mapping of the opposition where it lies.
My post mortem is that the dems allowed the theater kids to run things, while clipping the wings of younger members in the party.
One issue with this theory. The theater kids are the younger members of the party.
My postmortem is that the far left managed to succeed hard enough to destroy themselves while the establishment got vapor locked at the upstarts instead of slamming the door on them hard and making it clear they are a serf voting bloc. The far left got enough autonomy to break out of partisan voting but never had enough organic support beyond establishment astroturfing to sustain it. So when people started catching on that the Bernie Bros, AOSimps, and Breadtube cock-riders all had no meaningful power, you had to completely back-over-knee break the party no matter what happened. There is no resolving the far left and neoliberals anymore.
The far left, back in 2008 we'll say, they were like the parsley garnish on a steak dinner. You wouldn't eat it per se, but you wouldn't complain about it either. But over time, there was more garnish and less steak until Biden's term, not his candidacy but his term, at which point it was a parsley salad with a side of parsley being sold as a prime rib steak to <<GENERIC DEMOCRAT VOTER HERE>>. TDS might have glued the party together even after that, but in comes Biden having the senior moment of all senior moments live on camera in front of everyone, and it's just undeniable at that point. The party is fucked, Kamala getting put in was slapdash, she got caught twice trying to copy Trump's homework where she did try putting forth a plan, and the demoralization was just complete. Kamala was too far left for the moderates and too moderate for the far left, cue historical failure in the polls. There might be less poo in India than the drawers of the DNC on election night 2024.
