Ethan was genuinely digging out videos of Hasan from 10+ years ago
last week in an attempt to character assassinate him. If the circumstances were different I'd say it was excellent comedic timing, particularly with the 24 hour turnaround from him posting stories dunking on Destiny being a paedo to having to defend his paedo shitposting account.
Ethan Klein is a pathological liar. It's likely that the account was found by just searching for the links of his youtube videos or just "h3h3" and checking the oldest posts. It was his main account and he wasn't hiding his identity as the h3h3 channel owner. He just wants to make himself a bigger victim to his audience of gullible, obese, middle aged women.
This has
probably been dredged up by DGG after he went all in on calling Destiny a degenerate paedophile. They are one committed personal army, although without obvious username links that would have been pretty hard to do (I guess finding ancient accounts that posted H3 links, but you'd have needed a tip-off to really bother searching like that).
There has been speculation that Destiny and Dan Saltman use redact.dev as a way of gathering kompromat and I could see that, although I think it's unlikely it would have flagged this particular account.
Ultimately however, who cares how it was found? This is peak Ethan playing the victim, he's trying to focus on it being "illegally and maliciously obtained information" that's being handed over to "people who will harass my family" and REDDIT IS HELPING THEM, even though it's just been left out sitting there on the clearnet for anyone to stumble across for 15 years. Naturally at the same time he also insists he knew it was there for people to find and he's not ashamed of it (despite now going through deleting every single comment - too late, Ethan!).
I haven't read all the messages nor am i going to, but i don't think there's anything in there besides really shitty jokes that made me cringe from the few things that have been posted here.
I do get that it's a themed shitposting account and edgy humour was more acceptable back then (if not de rigeur on places like 2010 reddit).
At the same time, there's a certain... one handed typing flavour to some of those edgy jokes. At the very least, he's always shown a weird fascination with the scatological and this certainly isn't helping the "Ethan Klein is a scat fetishist" allegations. He's often ambushed guests with extreme pornography - I don't think I'd enjoy having a root around on his hard drive; he's a grimy, creepy little man.
The majority of top rated posts are handwaving it away. The long, longstanding H3 fans who are still with him are so parasocially attached that they'd probably rationalise away Ethan actually raping a child. But the other chunk of his remaining fanbase seem to be quite young and so they literally weren't around for that era of the internet. There's some noticing going on in his subreddit about his double standard around this vs if Ethan found Hasan had a reddit account 15 years ago called "pedo_troll"
The other people who won't buy any sort of "everyone was making elaborate fantasy posts about hitting toddlers with their dick and shitting on them" defense are professionals. Not that sponsorship deals and Teddy Fresh collabs were still flowing in by any means, but I cannot imagine any sort of company wanting to associate their IP with them after this.
