This is a problem where a whole class of people find quietly serving and catering to middle America to be intolerable. She had a company with a clear brand and identity that met a need, but it was Cracker Barrel so it tore at every fibre of her being until she also headed a poorly conceived urban barcade concern. You can see it in the language about the brand not having "relevance". The thing is, I don't really think that is woke, not that I have a perfectly specific definition. But I think it's something even more insidious and deeper, something older. Maybe we need to develop some theory around this and get a term for it, it would be great to be able to quickly identify it and call it out so women like this simply don't get hired to run Budweiser and shit like that.
