Kinda depends on what your goals are. Learning a language is a huge comittment but it opens you up to all kinds of different opportunities. So without you telling us a little bit, it's hard to say. As an American it's probably better to learn Spanish. As an European French can be interesting if you are somewhat close to one of the countries that speak it.

Then sure go ahead, but that also goes for any language. Learning a language is just a monumental feat that takes a long ass time.

The book teaches you a method to learn the basics of a language in 7 days, it's not about getting to C2 level in 7 days. And it's perfectly doable.

Definitely not unless you plan on moving to France, which I would advice against. If you ask average Frenchman this question most would say no for being overly complicated and sometimes backwards logic language.

Yes, but only to sound stuck-up at parties not for actual communication. There are more Spanish speakers in the world than French speakers, and if you want a cool European language to learn, that would be Latin.
