I hope it turns out well for them. A bit cautious about it since the club penguin private servers drama, but if it's ran well, it can turn out as a better thing compared to roblox.

In all honesty, it's probably for the best that people run their own instances of this considering how dangerous Roblox is now a days. Just to be safe, someone should git clone it, just in case it gets taken down from Github.

If someone makes an unofficial front end website for Librebox games, it's likely to be better moderated than Roblox.

I personally think someone should make a engine similar to Roblox from scratch and have people make their own website similar to Roblox. Then have Ruben Sim as a head moderator of said site.

there is a fork of 2016 leaked source on github which hasnt been taken down yet by roblox for some reason so who knows how it will turn out

She also defended David Baszucki and said that he isn't involved. Very odd how someone can support Schlep and criticize Roblox for banning him, but then not think David is involved. Shouldn't have to say why that's mind-numbingly retarded.

I have to ask, why are parents so retarded? Have they always been this way? Online grooming has to be one of the most documented things on the internet with the amount of predator catching slop there is on youtube. Even if you are living under a rock all it takes is one look at the game itself to see that it isn't good for the mind of a developing child. Modern roblox has become a hellscape of user-generated content. I still remember the old avatars where you could expect some kind of consistency with everything being an off-brand lego aesthetic. Now it is just an interactive version of elsagate and youtube kids, where you have NSFW rthro and just the most left field, out of place avatars all playing some slop game. There are infinity warning signs and infinity methods (age verification apps, block websites through the router, family computer you can keep tabs on...) but they just keep failing.

Allegedly, this is just a rumor that has spurred me on, continuing to buy cheap OTM Puts on RBLX till they are worth nothing. A lot of the users, potentially the older ones, are bots and have been bots for a long while artificially inflating their numbers. If you look at their stock and price movement, it doesn't pass my sniff test. They got terrible financials and literally state without explicitly stating that they are held up by mommy and daddy's wallets yet are up over 100% since it became publicly traded. It's a too good to be true scenario and the rumors and blatant, lackadasical approach to serious moderation hints they are either sympathetic or are themselves part of a subculture that has proven to be a social level cancer; progressivism.

If social science ever wants my respect, they better start bashing philosophy, psychology, and data science majors together into one. Kinda scary, but it is more of a science than what most social aligned affiliates are today.

I am not so sure here, Roblox has a huge number of mobile users, and children from around the world especially countries like the Philippines and their penetration into China, so I think their mind boggling numbers are understandable considering the games are all free and run on basically anything.
That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if lots of front page and wannabe front page games bot their user counts like people bot follower/subscriber counts on other platforms.
I agree with you on the whole, but I would actually like to know more because my understanding of stock pricing is a bit weak. My take is that Roblox has experienced pretty much all of its substantial growth long before they went public, so most of what drives their price is either the expectation of dividends or pure speculation on growth that will probably never materialize. However, that's a broad assumption on the mentality of every other investor and doesn't have any basis in trading experience.
From a business perspective, being held up on children begging their parents to buy things is a pretty solid strategy, as evidenced by the amount of companies like Disney that would absolutely die to get generation after generation of children addicted to their product.
As a slight aside, it's interesting how if it wasn't for the pedophilia, seemingly no one would have batted an eye to Roblox exploiting children in every way except sexually.

I think part of the problem is that mainstream media outlets heavily under-report this. Before browsing KiwiFarms I learned about stuff like this from YouTube videos, but rarely was this ever mentioned in the mainstream press, even though they love sensationalism and disturbing stories (the case of Giggly Goonclown in particular was both incredibly horrifying and helped me learn about a number of criminal subcultures online, but normal media never picked it up afaik). The fact that there are organized groups infiltrating kids' spaces trying to get them addicted to depraved fetish pornography, even making them self-harm and permanently disfigure their bodies with sex hormones, should be something that parents can easily learn about and thus protect their kids from. But at the moment, you have to be some degree of online to learn about this that most parents simply aren't.
Shlep's case is a step in the right direction since it has caused mainstream awareness of Roblox's problems with child safety, but it needs to go further than that. Parents who aren't in the know about Internet drama need to know just how bad things really are.
