long haul truckers are expected to live in their truck 24/7. Usually they rack up one day off for every week on the road and save up for it so they can spend a week or two with their family. A jeet from India with no family and no place of residence doesn’t need this. He wants to keep driving. Trucks not being used, even if the driver is on earned time off, counts against productivity and makes upper management seethe. On paper that makes the jeet more “productive” and more likely to be hired because they don’t account for the fact that they are retarded.
