Someone that narcissistic could never be pro-life. Destiny was more akin to a degenerate low economic status individual who really didn't give a shit one way or another, because he never fully cared whether he was a meaningful part of his own sons life. or not Which is why he immediately bounced to LA for the convivence of having mediocre pussy slightly closer. If all else remained the same about past Destiny but he was in a better economic place, he would have not only aborted Nathan but done everything in his power to pressure and gaslight his crazy ex into doing it.
You certainly can be extremely narcissistic and pro-life. Destiny was pro-life at one point. But also, there's no one way of being a narcissist. There are malignant narcissists, vulnerable narcissists, and savior complex narcissists. The heart of narcissism is about creating an image of yourself that you protect at all costs because if you don't, you are confronted with deep levels of shame and self loathing. This is why Destiny freaked out when he took psychedelics, which can break down one's defense mechanisms. I don't think Destiny is a savior complex narcissist, but you can very easily see how someone could address their issues with self esteem issues by saving the babies. Ben Thorp is a catholic, is he not pro-life?
Destiny will just continue roping Nathan along, like he does with everyone else, he's just that fucked in the head.
Unless Nathan somehow manages to realize that Destiny doesn't really care about him, and that he should essentially cut him off from his life, Nathan will just end up being Destiny 2.0.
But that will never happen, because neglected kids are desperate for their parents attention.
It could go very badly for Nathan if he doesn't have a realistic picture of what Destiny is. He did retweet something the other day about narcissistic fathers and borderline mothers, so he probably has a pretty good idea even if he doesn't really understand what narcissism is as a personality disorder. Nathan's best bet probably is to love his father but not expect much of him. In fact, he should expect very little from him and understand that Destiny is not capable of the things a father needs to be capable of. One can't help but get their hopes up about their parents even if they know they're going to constantly be disappointed, but I think a lot of the damage that's done to the children of neglected kids comes from constant disappointment, or feeling like they're to blame for the neglect. If Nathan sees his dad for what he is and decides to not be that, he'll be fine. The best revenge against a bad father is to be a better man, and all Nathan has to do to reach that goal is be able to lift a 20 pound dumbbell without his Swedish wife helping him.
Nathan just needs to see his dad as a man. A broken man whose opinion he doesn't have to give a fuck about. Who he should forgive and love nonetheless. I know this thread does not want to hear that, but Destiny does not need to have power over him. It could get to a point where he has to cut him out of his life, but that can be almost as bad.
Destiny doesn't know what love is, it's just a word to him. He will never love his son. The only person on this gay earth Destiny is capable of truly loving is himself and I can only hope that Nathan comes to understand this at some point and that most importantly; ITS NOT YOUR FAULT NATHAN, there is NOTHING you could do differently to make your father acknowledge you.
I don't think that's quite right. Narcissists don't love like most people do, but they do have a form of love. It's just extremely conditional, transactional, and used for leverage. Most people who have children get a very specific feeling the second the baby is born that does not make sense and has no logic to it. You just feel it. You hear about how moms will lift cars to protect their baby, or fathers dying for their children. If you ask most people why they love someone, they'll say that just do. If they can say why they love someone, that's a bad sign. If they say, "I love them because they make me laugh," or "I love them because they're my son," it tells you that they have conditions. And this can get worse, because you can use those conditions to punish that person or really fuck them up, especially if that person feels those conditions. That's where Destiny is. He is capable of love, he's just not capable of prioritizing other people over himself. Which usually goes along with love, but isn't love itself.
Why is he so obsessed with pussy? It’s just fucking pussy.
It's how he gets his sense of self worth. Most of the things Destiny does are because he's trying to do everything he can to not feel unwanted, unloved, worthless, etc, etc. He doesn't just like sex. He doesn't like hookers because that's purely transactional and does nothing for his ego.
That's why he debates, it's why he plays games the way he does, etc.
And the way he does it is designed to be as low effort as possible. He doesn't have to treat women like they're important. He doesn't have to take care of them, he doesn't have to be there for them. And he documents it so he can relive that feeling, or demonstrate to other people that he's a sex fiend.
Whatever happened to that guy? Him and all evidence he ever existed seem to be gone from the internet.
Idk, I just like to bring it up for
@Code Cave even though he missed me so much that he killed himself.
Since Nathan doesn't receive positive attention from his father or mother, any positive attention he receives now will be deeply embedded in his subconscious. If it's from being an edgy groyper online, he's unlikely to simply "grow out of it" as Destiny suggests he will.
The groyper movement will end eventually, as all movements do. But Nathan will always go the edgy route to chase that kind of attention since he didn't receive it from his parents. If I were Destiny, I would be very concerned about where Nathan will be in 10 years.
His parents should get him off the internet for sure. StrangerMe is a little more nihilistic than I am about it, but Nathan is at the age when personality disorders are going to start setting in. And he's definitely using an audience online for validation and feelings of affection. Destiny is probably allowing it because Destiny knows how good that feels and probably thinks he's protecting the boy by allowing him to experience that, but he's not. If it's not unchecked, StrangerMe could be right about creating a Destiny Jr.
When Destiny is licking his wounds he usually winds up in his chat looking for validation, or surrounding himself with yes men. And it's mostly done by strangers who he doesn't have to feel any affection for back. Since Destiny loves asking people if they watch Rick and Morty, this is probably an appropriate time for a Rick and Morty reference.
Did you ever see that episode where Morty told his girlfriend, "You miss the old me. You miss someone that loved you so much you never had to love 'em back." That's narcissism and it's why he values his audience. They love him no matter what he does and he never has to love them back. This is how he'd like to treat the people around him, too, but they're always going to be a little more demanding than that. Again, I don't think it means that Destiny needs to be alone, but I do think it means that the people who are around him need to understand that and know what to expect.
He doesn't have "sex addiction", he's this way because he wants to be this way. He's literally raped, stop excusing his actions "I'm not excusing his actions" you literally are. He's an ephebophile predator, and he's fully aware of the way he is, that's why he acts the way he does, and attacks/harasses/silences people.
This isn't sex addiction.
I don't believe in sex addiction, but I do believe there's a strong correlation between hypersexuality and self soothing. I laid that out earlier in my post, but you see it amongst other personality disorders as well, particularly people with BPD. Destiny's "drug of choice" is definitely sex, amongst other things, but the mechanism that drives him to obsessively want sex is not a choice. And certainly a lot of his behaviors around it that are bad are choices.
