I was joking. I thought the suggestion would be too absurd to take seriously. Before and while streaming, the mods (or him) ban anyone who's been deemed to be lurking in chat too long. And luckily for them:

Third-party clients get the boot when the user is banned, so loggers (including me) can no longer function, and I'm missing all messages since the ban. I'll have to either spin up a new account and make a tool that only connects while live, or rely on third-party loggers to get what I want - but honestly, it's not worth the work for a ten-second laugh at all the times Mr. CTE got felted before flexing his ban hammer.
