Better the devil you know. If it was just economics the Indians would have gone with Airbus already, it is cheaper after all. The issue is that the 737 MAX and A321 NEO are on par, and Airbus has only 1 offering that competes with the 787 or 777.

Jeets are incapable of self reflection. This is what comes of living in a society where all problems are resolved by throwing an endless meat wall at it until it breaks or submits. If Jeet A is incapable, remove Jeet A and replace with B. Repeat as needed and there is no pathway to question or consider alternatives. Because if they consider or question, they are replaced with Jeet #100034234 who says they can get it done. They are brought up knowing they are disposable mechanical TURKs.

One thing to keep in mind is that this is a horrible way to go about things because you have more "friendly" countries offering you trade and whatnot without forcing you to drop billions into investments in them with threats to sink your entire economy if you refuse.

Indian was part of the non align movement they didnt want to pick sides in the cold war.

China screwed them over pretty badly.

India does trade protections in terms of tarriffs they want good made in india for the indian market thats one of the reason apple opened production lines there.

Trum is correct to do what he wants because if your economy depends on trading with america you have to ask why is it asymmetrical why is it okay for india to do tarrifs and require goods made in indian but not for america to do the same?

Also like with our EU allies why is it okay for them to have laws and regulations that protect their local industries why they get free trade with the US market?

I personally think it was a bad thing that we offshored our production to countries with shitty enviromental laws and labor laws to get cheap products, I also think if your economy can be tanked because it depends on selling to the US market then your economy is fucked.
