Was reading a detractor video title tonight and I thought about how Phil lives in a really fucking lame version of groundhog day where he wakes up every single day flat broke and has to debase himself in front of the mentally challenged to pay his mortgage, he swills gin to ease the pain and then he wakes up the next day just as broke in the same situation. Maybe the late, late tips are real, maybe they're not. Phil acts like they're not. When they happen after the stream is over and Phil has begged all night, he's miserable anyway.

I think they are usually prearranged. Phil knows he has the $100 in the bag, so he wants to pump the audience for more. If he announces the $100 at the start of the stream, he knows he'll be lucky to get to $150 by the end of the stream, but if he can relentlessly beg all stream, he might dupe a dent into giving him more.

Minecraft and truck sim have been the worst shit to sit through. Compare these two streams to the Luto/GTA4 stream we had on Saturday and it's astonishing how a stream goes monetarily and attitude wise.

He is a liar, if we are to believe he is that broke every time he is beggging, he would be homeless. He is just a con artist, he lies through his teeth, so the dents give him money and there's always some money he knows it is granted he is going to get when the stream is about to end. I mean, how can he struggle to purchase groceries, but he lives in a big ass house and his office is full of expensive stuff.

I think at one point he was legitimately broke, but now it was decidedly no longer the case. He's just scamming money because he does it for the sake of, it's his only way of being employed and he is outright unemployable (cannot even get a neopotism job done).
