Nick could easily break away from MDE to do his own thing. (not he ever would, dude strikes me as loyal to a fault)
Just spin up your own real estate review stream, add some car buying advice, the occasional antiquing trip.
And he'd never ever have to go back to selling Merc's again.

Another interesting nugget is that Sam's shirt changed, presumably because it got drenched in sweat during the making of the gorilla nest, you can see the wet marks around 46:08 of the podcast.

Harland is funnier than Joey Diaz. Redbar made Joey "I lie about all my stories" Diaz piss his pants with fear. Joey Diaz is one of the biggest bullshitters in comedy.

Also I agree with your point about trying to outwit a true comedian. You can't take yourself to seriously in a situation like that, just take it on the chin and riff back.

I would pay for some professional advice from Nick. Like if I could send him a project, a list of contractors and some info and $100 and have him give me his choice or what to look out for, I would do it. I really envy his general knowledge and practical experience. That's why his Zillow listing reviews are so good. He takes one look at cabinets and is like "yeah this entire house is cheap shit built by Mexicans and it's $50,000 overpriced". That is worth money.

i think someone said something in this thread about him thinking hes some kind of important cultural figurehead now and i think in that context it makes total sense why he would make a video like 'dear elon' and then go around ranting about jews on podcasts - my nigga, are you trying to get people to watch your show or are you trying to make yourself look like a retard?

guy needs more harland moments to deflate his ego a lil bit more; if you make a bunch of money and suddenly get the urge to act like a retard beyond what having "fuck you" money usually does to your outspokenness, then yeah, youre taking yourself too seriously

you dont go on a podcast to completely shit it up while your team members look like they wanna die as youre doing it, so nick's just doing damage control by trying to downplay the significance of sam's sperg out - theyre business partners and have known each other for years, no way nick would suddenly go "YEAH FUCK SAM HE WAS A MORON IM GOING TO KILL HIM NEXT TIME I SEE HIM" on their own show, that would be a bigger detriment to their brand and cause infighting (assuming they havent had that privately already) than doing waht nick is doing

also i might be going out on a limb here, but "sam & nicks perfect clips" suddenly uploading a bunch of new vids in a couple of days right after the harland podcast episode got posted seems sus, almost like theyre trying to redirect attention away from that by posting content

Why are people so upset by the Harland appearance and not by the Matan one? It's entirely the same schtick. The only difference is that Matan is a Jew while Harland apparently isn't, and I'm sure consoomers got just as much enjoyment from this podcast as they did from the Matan podcast.

Funniest part about the Matan podcast was when he said he's beginning to regret bringing in a dozen jeets and their smell.
The Harland thing would be a lot funnier if instead of manhandling Harland he looks at the overturned desk and says he might have gone too far and had a "gorilla moment"
 
Harland Williams top podcasts are all where he does drama or does mock confrontations with comedians like Bill Burr or Ari Shaffir. I listen to a fair number of comedy podcasts with some overlap of people in the Kill Tony/Roganverse and Cumtown/MSSP circles so I have more familiarity with them. Now I'm not as familiar with Sam's stuff so anyone who knows better feel free to jump in and correct me, but isn't this virtually identical to the staged for views cringe bullshit he did with Matan Even (who had a similarly terse and staged appearance on Harland's podcast where Harland was throwing shit at him and rubbing muffins on his face while making weird sex jokes about boarding school) where he "DESTROYED" his set and "EPICALLY CRASHED OUT"?

Call me skeptical but flipping a cheapo ikea desk and a couple 40 dollar xlr microphones isn't some kind of epic rampage of destruction lol. This is on pace to be his top viewed podcast he's ever done, his other top podcasts btw are 2 episodes of him fighting with Bobby Lee, Mark Normand joking about October 7th and killing Palestinians, Anthony Jeselnik getting punked and being pissed off for 2 hours while Harland does his riff on the Norm McDonald moth joke (ie a long shaggy dog story that goes nowhere just to piss him off) and him getting into a fight with Bill Burr, this is kind of his thing. If he was actually pissed with the guy, you would think he would just scrub the episode or wouldn't bother crediting them in the description of the video, I know if it was me I would just clown on him or cut that altogether. I've watched many of Harland's sets and podcast appearances and he likes to do goofy, weird surreal shit (you can go watch the podcast he did with Carrot Top if you want to see some bizarre shit), but he will also do serious bits where he drops the character (notably in his podcasts with Bobby Lee because they've been friends for like 20 years). I feel like it's also worth noting Harland is a pretty genuinely nice guy when he's not doing his stage persona which is an intentionally abrasive persona, when he's not in character he is a almost a teetotaler, does not do drugs and writes children's books (seriously, he's published like 10 children's books and does Disney shows for kids).

Is there anybody who has links to comments or xeets or something to provide additional context that's not just people butthurt about Sam Hyde's politics, antifans obsessed with random drama or their favorite fishbowl character being banned from the house, sniping from catty redditors or screenshots of low resolution screengrabs of peoples' faces lol. I am genuinely open to being proven wrong, but this just seems like some cringe staged nonsense a la Eric Andre.

I asked in the MATI thread and all I got was some polish guy having a spergout instead of offering anything useful, so I figured I would come to the ostensible source here about Sam Hyde related information.
