Apologies for picking the topic up again, but I have been listening to some rightwing podcast in my mother tongue since they were talking about Only Fans and women engaged with it. To put it mildly, it was fairly disappointing. Most top earning OF girls aren't even doing it on their own. Their boyfriends or husbands are usually the ones photographing them, and often making porn with them. How is shaming the women supposed to help when the men don't even respond to shaming? These guys are regularly called cucks and they don't care because they're making money. Is it actually true, or just a meme that men truly can't see stuff right in front of their eyes? The whole "my husband just can't see the socks on the floor, tee hee" idea. I distinctly remember my ex always asking what we had in the fridge to eat, despite having the capacity to find out. Like when I told him there was something in a clear container placed in an obvious spot in the fridge, but he said he couldn't find it. Then a friend of his joked that I just have "woman" eyes like that means we are inherently better at seeing stuff?

I don't know how you can't just actively investigate stuff. Poke around and figure out what's where. There are only two options. Either it's laziness and "weaponized incompetence." (that term is kind of cringe, but hey) Or, they're legitimately just inferior weaklings. Maybe both.

It’s easy to preach “money doesn’t buy happiness” when you never grew up poor and losing your permanent teeth because your parents can’t afford the dentist. It’s easy to push that saying when you never lived off of grilled cheese and ketchup soup during the worst recession.

It’s easy to tell women to raise kids in poverty when you yourself have no idea what the fuck that entails.

Whenever they bring up third world birth rates, they never talk about the child mortality rates of those same countries. Women and children in those countries are at a much higher risk of getting murdered by their annoyed husbands. There’s far higher rates of pedophiles acting out their disgusting desires in those same countries as there isn’t a lot of legal consequences for them to do so.

Having more children also increases the likelihood of childhood neglect; usually happening because the parents are already overwhelmed by their first two children. Those parents aren’t going to be at their best, or protective, which leads to kids wandering away from homes before becoming another statistic.

Those kids are malnourished because it’s expensive as fuck just to feed one mouth.

Those exact same kids are often pushed to work in sweatshops so that they can feed themselves

As you can tell, I’m sick of the narrative that bigger families is a good thing and we should just emulate that behavior. Hell to the no!

I mean when I can't find something that's told to me will be in a specific location I don't then start digging around and moving stuff to find it unless I'm already familiar with the setup. I don't want to make a mess or fuck up whatever potential system the person may have set up just because I didn't notice something or was looking in the wrong spot. Hell the person telling me could just be wrong, so I usually don't see any harm in asking again or letting the person show me.

I don't know if that makes me an untermensch or not.

Weaponized incompetence is very real and the term describes what it literally is. I once had a coworker whose husband "can't even boil water heehee". I find hitting men with the classic "you know better" cuts straight through the bullshit. The issue then comes down to misplaced male pride and he can either suck it up and listen or let it fester.

I first noticed it with (relation) when, for example, they were both sitting on the couch and her husband would demand a glass of something. She'd get up automatically, and if someone joked like 'are your legs busted, mate? Are you an invalid?', he'd whine and, if anything, become more firmly planted in his seat, and (relation) seemed embarrassed and even more resolved to get him his drink - as if to prove to us that she'd felt like getting up anyway.

It's really frustrating to witness stuff like that again and again. Like, have you ever just tried telling him 'you've got two legs - go use them'?!
