PENNSYLVANIA (WOLF) — Fire departments and county emergency centers across Pennsylvania are advising the public of a statewide 911 outage.

According to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, the state is experiencing a statewide intermittent 911 outage.

Individuals experiencing issues contacting 911 are asked to contact their local 911 center on their non-emergency lines. Do not call them just to check whether or not it is working. Only call them for actual emergencies.

You can check social media pages or websites from your local fire company, police department or county for further information.

You can just disable that stuff in Android's wireless emergency alert settings.

SOME of it can be disabled in different ways, I don't think there's actually a non-root way to permanently shut all of it off, at most you might be able to turn the noise off. More of these stupid alerts keep getting invented too.

Apparently Canada keeps issuing every single alert, even AMBER Alerts, as presidential/national alerts which can't be turned off on stock, and that's why Daniel Micay added the ability to turn every alert off.

Whenever I have a cellphone, I always keep it off unless I need to use it for some reason.

Normally I use a landline (which normally has that ringer off because endless scam calls).

In case of emergency, Delaware County residents should call 610-565-6575.

Montgomery County​

The county posted on their website Friday afternoon that they were being impacted by the statewide 911 outage. They advised residents in the county to call 610-635-4300 in case of emergency until the 911 issues are resolved.

I am concerned by this outage for one reason this feels like a test for a bigger target. This part of the country that got hit is mostly rural Amish country and the smaller cities and very outer ring suburbs.
I feel like there is going to be a potential terror event that goes on and this is the pre cursor to it.
