I don't know how I feel about him going after the Landlords. A lot of NYC landlords are horrble and bascially slumlords and the Landlords also add to the high cost of rent/housing. But a rent freeze will ruin alot of the income for the city and hurt renters. I don't think the state will allow such a big rent freeze like they did during COVID but still

And you'd then have to prove you weren't being racist, or have your political career ended. Plus the feds would step in and stop it.
