the only one impacted would be raw phil though, other restreamers would qualify for fair use and that is if youtube finds a way to automate detection of restreams no way they have the infrastructure for it

Due to him being literally retarded, he will never sue anyone. All you would have to show in the detractors defense is him LITERALLY SAYING “detractors don’t affect me or my income” or the numerous times he’s claimed that “I don’t care that people restream me, it doesn’t bother me”.

Funniest part to me is when he was doing DSP ReACKS he would get taken down mid stream via the automated copyright detection shit because he was just staring at the videos silently in large chunks not transforming shit. There's a reason why most reaction channels splice in clips or pause often so they don't get hit with that shit.

No one would be "upset" if he struck down DDM/Raw because they are basically just rebroadcasting but all they would have to do is add in some video filters and background music or other shit (same reason why snort/memeology do what they do because of superhound going after detractor vids years ago) and they would be back online in an instant so it's pointless for DSP to even bother with it but god I hope he does.

Why is why I hope Kikethan wins, if it emboldens piggy to go after detractors it's gonna be fucking hilarious because he of course doesn't know that Ethan's Content Nuke is actually copyrighted by Ethan, unlike piggy's tens of thousands of videos of pure slop.

Of course, nothing'll happen in the end because piggy is only tough behind a computer and would probably need a dent to handhold him through filing a lawsuit and hiring a lawyer.

Watching this now and not sure how I feel about it but according to Ethan, in order to be eligible for statutory damages and attorney fees you have to register the video for copyright protection before you publish it.

Getting DSP to do that for every single one of his videos would be the funniest outcome by far.
