I never understood that movie. The entire thing makes Derek's views seem 100% justified.

Apparently the original ending was him staring into the mirror and then shaving his head again after his brother was killed but Norton cried about it and had it changed.

I would say it's becoming an open ended film where its aesop is related closely to Derek's racist views today then the original aesop of racism being purely evil without any reasons. I wouldn't know what to think since the sheer attitude of "anti-racism" would slowly, but surely subvert people into the opposition through reaction or pure noticing of actuality.
