Considering how much farm labour can be delegated to machinery, were I in Trump's position maybe I'd consider offering a new subsidy for farmers who lose a significant chunk of their labour due to deportations and put it into buying the machines replacements? It is a bribe (these vehicles can cost hundreds of thousands - watch Clarkson's Farm) but if that's what the GOP is so scared of by deporting illegals (losing donors/support), then that ought to assuage both?

The first thing that comes to my mind when I witness all of this is Trump tried to fix the country (again), but realized six months in you can't fix the U.S. government. I'm not seeing anything being done differently that wouldn't have happened with a corpse formerly occupying the Oval Office. He doesn't even have more deportations, despite empowering ICE.

Are they getting peanuts for pay or are they getting full wages? Are they willing to start paying taxes? If you pay taxes and get full wages you aren't a slave and these mexicans working at these farms Trump is talking about don't appear to be Home Depot spics looking for cheap work, working on these farms is literally their career just like many white farmers.

They are no different from Home Depot slaves. They snuck into the country to perform manual labor, undermine any possibility of work for people actually born in this country, drive down the average wage by existing and when push comes to shove, they are the ones you see in places like Los Angeles insisting the United States was "stolen land."
