Taking Ozempic is disordered eating because you’re suppressing hunger cues!”
It’s not hunger cues if you’re not needing food ffs. Feeling peckish is not hunger. Overeating to the point you’re obese means you do not have hunger cues you can trust.
Some people say they think about food 24/7, and that ozempic turns that off - it must be awful to live like that, constantly obsessing about food. If it was drugs or sex we’d say they were addicted, but no it’s just hunger cues.
It’s like saying the DTs are just thirst cues ffs.

Meh, I used to believe that alcoholics just needed willpower and AA just like Weight Watchers was the cure all for chubs. Now that there’s an actual remedy for the disordered eating types, the HAES folks are freaking out and claiming that you’re fine at 500lbs and GLP-1 drugs are dangerously bad for you. It probably just boils down to being afraid to fail again.

"There are a lot of factors that contribute to the marginalization of fat people..."

Yeah I hear you lady, but did you know that in Afghanistan it is illegal for women to speak in public?
Sure not being able to find clothes sucks, but you're not a member of an oppressed community because of it. There are people out there who live absolutely horrific lives and they cannot change their situations, but you can improve your quality of life with weight loss.

Says the Inflammatory Fat, seemingly unaware that Ozempic is more akin to a controlled burn vs anorexia (or overeating’s) raging inferno

Some bonus “shapeism” salt. How dare someone draw fat bodies and never go full Kelly Lenza grotesque!

Ozempic controls cravings and having you eat when you don't need to. It has nothing to do with stopping hunger pains.

It's frankly amazing how they refer to this as an ED when they're the poster children for another form of ED.

"you have to make them desirable in one way or another," Is she telling on herself there? Admitting that asymmetrical, lumpy bodies are undesirable?

The body in those drawings is pretty gross, but it still makes her jealous.
Of course she's saying that but not in so many words. And yes it makes her feel bad because she wishes she looked as good as those "desirable" fat drawings. Why do you think she's queer? No man would look at her lumpy ass and say, "gimme some of that".

It's because now there's a way that they too can get thin which totally destroys their message that fat is good.

And the fact that a lot of former fatties are dropping the weight is dangerous to their ideals.

Shapism? Really? They come up with new forms of oppreshun every month.
I wish my longtime personal lolcow was still active. She was a deathfat who claimed to have "hourglass privilege" because she had something approximating a waistline in between her big tits and pendulous gunt. And this was a decade ago.

When you've been comitted to an ideology—especially an unpopular one where you've alienated most of your friends and family by trying to convert them to it, and have made it a big part of your identity—admitting that it was wrong and giving it up is incredibly hard. It's made even harder when you've got an entire social media history in which you expounded on that ideology and insulted anybody who didn't follow it, and especially so if you've been making part or all of your living from it.

Most people—but especially women—can't handle the barrage of angry, critical comments and total loss of their social network that comes with making a break from their ideological position, and the deeper into it they've been, the less support they will have from friends and family on the outside. It's also humiliating to admit you've been completely wrong about something that you've made a core component of your identity, and for somebody with a weak sense of self, they might not be able to imagine who they could be, should they abandon that ideology.

So if they see others are leaving and catching hate for it, they will double down on brainwashing themselves back into that belief system if they've had doubts about it, or at least reinforce their beliefs by immersing themselves in the literature and arguments for it. And they'll actively engage with those ideas by attacking anybody who has moderated or abandoned their stance, or opposed it in the first place.

This is really common cultist behavior. I've seen it in members of all kinds of religious, spiritual, political, and philosophical belief systems, from Scientologists, to fundamentalist Christians, to childfreetards, to various gendercultists, to "Covid aware" folks, atheists, Q-Anon boomers, flat-earthers, and TDS sufferers. FA/BoPo/FatLib is no different; I think we're going to have plenty of holdouts, doubling and tripling down, and railing against the "fallen" who have revealed their internalized fatphobia by taking GLP-1s and losing weight.

What the fuck is "fat liberation," exactly? No one is gunning these people down in the streets for being land whales. Sure, they probably have to endure the occasional stare or side eye, and yeah, it's tough to fit into most seats, but how is any of that "oppression," especially when they can OPT OUT of their size at any time? And ESPECIALLY with the plethora of highly effective, safe and regulated weight loss injection options available now?

It seems like most of these people are overly indulged, extremely privileged white kids who badly, BADLY want to be seen as special and brave oppressed warriors fighting muh society, like the main characters of their own cheesy self-insert Marvel movies. A lot of them are also quite obviously on the spectrum.

Personally, I'd define "fat liberation" as successfully losing excessive adipose tissue, thus "liberating" your internal organs from visceral fat so they can function properly.

Tbf that atrocity is still preferable to what Jaime looks like. You can atleast see whats front and back. The fact that someones is jealous of an obese body is still mindboggling.

Like a lot of Western politics these days, because fat jokes still exist they consider it oppression because they are too comfortable and humans love things to complain about.

None of these bitches make any sense. You're not "destined" to be obese, that's metabolic fucking dysfunction that can be CORRECTED, you morons. That's like saying you're "destined" to have cancer or any other chronic health issue. And it's not "impossible" for most people to lose weight. That's a totally made up statistic. Sure, it's necessarily not your fault if you do have metabolic dysfunction (or binge eating disorder or addiction to food whatever and I'm not counting these people here who get fat on purpose), but you treat it like any other illness or disorder and deal with it.

Eating a reasonable amount of calories and having a healthy digestive system is not "restrictive." These people almost make me a little MATI sometimes, especially this @feminfitz cow. But she is sure fun to laugh at it! I'd definitely watch more of her.

They really are a cult.

I just want one of these fat activists to point out a fat person in a holocaust camp photo that remained fat after starving in striped uniforms for a year. Where are the "can't lose weight on low calories" people in those photos?
