We're getting told that we have absolutely unimpeachable intelligence that Iran has a nuclear weapon, that it'll be ready to go in 2 weeks rom whatever the current date is, and they'll absolutely nuke DC and NYC.

My parents are boomers and watch a lot of FOX, and while I was there I overheard some "military expert" on the TV saying that the majority of Iranians hate their government and they'd absolutely support us if we were to invade.
I've been told that Iran is two to six months away from a nuclear weapon ever since I really decided to be aware of politics which would have been nearly 30 years ago. Let them have their fucking nuke, I don't care at this point.

My Boomer dad stopped watching Fox News after people like Tucker became obsessed with trannies.

No one is saying that Iran has a weapon, it's being pointed out that Iran is obviously enriching for a weapon. Iran isn't secret about it either, the Ayatollah is openly talking about how he wants a nuke.
The same people telling us that today also had us convinced about Saddam's WMDs not too long ago so I'm going to need a better source this time.

If Iran has a nuke, the Saudis have said they will work with China to get one. It’s going to create a bigger headache in the Middle East. With everyone trying to get their hands on nukes.
It’s pay me now, pay me later. For the good of peace in Middle East, Trump should bomb Iran.

On the Iran subject: does anyone get a worrying sense of deja-vu?

This is reminding me an awful lot of Iraq, where similar things were said but a. there were no WMDs and b. the Iraqis didn't help us.
Iran does not have nuclear weapons currently, but the capability to enrich uranium enough to make weapons. It's not something that would take them weeks, but days. Once they have it and they have a nuke, then it's a problem. The reason that the US hates Iran is because Iran held our diplomats hostage, which only crazy people do. For all the shit people say about the US, we have never held diplomats hostage. Even at the height of the Cold War, the Soviets never held our diplomats hostage. Iran continues to destabilize the region because its government is run by theocrats who constantly threaten to annihilate their enemies. It's not something that's gone on for a little while. Iran has been starting shit for 40 years at this point.

It's like having a house down the street from you with a family that's constantly blasting shitty music, yelling at everyone, threatening to kill people they don't like for no reason, and occasionally causing property damage whenever they sperg out - and it's pretty much the whole family doing it, and they've been doing it for decades. They are a trashy neighbor family that is always talking about how great it would be to buy guns because then they could deal with all the neighbors they hate. Then when a bigger fish comes along and tells them they're fucking crazy and won't let them have a gun, the neighbor family starts the "poor me" crying routine about defending themselves from all the mean people who bully them. It's eye-rolling.

There's no reason to enrich beyond 5 percent if the intention is peaceful. 60 percent is clearly angling for nukes.

Yeah yeah, Iranians will totally greet us as saviors, and Iraqn has WMD.
No one is calling for an invasion. Airstrikes on nuclear facilities and that's it.

It's interesting seeing America First people wanting Iran to have nuclear weapons when Iran openly calls for the death of the United States and is rapidly researching ICBMs along with nukes

I think it's safe to assume that the same international military industrial complex think tanks that led to Desert Storm 2: Electric Boogaloo are probably going to try it again. unfortunately the domestic american political landscape specifically went out of its way to push back against that stuff, which is why trump got elected again. I have a very strong feeling that the people trying to drum up jingoistic sentiment still look at the chessboard as if television plays an important role in propaganda and counter-intelligence, either because they're targeting old people or because they legitimately don't understand the theater of operations has changed. they're playing the game like it's 2008

if a terrorist attack happens that drums up public support for an invasion the average uneducated moron is probably going to think we or israel did it on purpose because this is the third or fourth time something like that has happened

BAE, Lockheed and Raytheon all need major contracts renewed/extended under this administration. Economy does pretty well when we do this also. It's a great antidote for our current industrial problems. So... we're absolutely going to go beat up some brown people in the desert on the other side of the planet.

Arguably, we have plenty of brown people to beat up in the desert right here in our own borders but that doesn't award 2 billion dollar contracts to defense companies.

They do have nukes. They were purifying uranium nearly 4-5 years ago now at 85%. They have it by now.
It's worth making this point again: how do we know this?

I understand that we've been told this for my entire lifetime, but what I'm curious about is how you actually know this to be true, especially given all the times we now know these same people have lied to our faces about the exact same thing somewhere else.

There's no reason to enrich beyond 5 percent if the intention is peaceful. 60 percent is clearly angling for nukes.
Where has Iran announced their goal for 60% enrichment? May I have a look?

The Iranians brag about their enrichment capabilities in Persian-language media, as if Americans are too stupid to learn Persian and watch their television. Bro, we're the US, we go to extreme lengths to watch television.

There you go, trying to attribute something to me that i didn't say. You literally cannot help yourself, you are just one of the dumbest most transparent jews I've ever seen.

When we're done with them, there won't be any Iranians left.
yeah, I heard the same sort of false bravado when we invaded Iraq. Seems to me like they held out just fine, you stupid fuck.
You are witnessing successfully propagandized individuals.

They hate us for our freedom, right?

Those crafty Iranians, making ICBMs but doing zero nuclear tests, keeping it all secret from our detections until they're ready to fire an ICBM straight at DC for their first launch! Let them play in their desert until they actually demonstrate they can glass something, and then it's America's problem, until then there's no good casus belli for us to do anything, and it's laughable to throw around high-horse "propagandized" accusations while pushing warhawk points based on speculation.

I disagree, they dont have nukes because they were not in a political position to break out. They have the capability to produce nukes which needs to be neutered.

the IAEA says so. Their report is here:

specifically

On 5 November 2024, the Agency verified at FFEP in Unit 2 that Iran was continuing to feed UF6enriched up to 5% U-235: into up to 1044 IR-1 centrifuges in three sets of two interconnected cascades to enrich UF6 up to 20% U-235; and into 335 IR-6 centrifuges in one set of two interconnected cascades to enrich UF6 up to 60% U-235.
Iran has estimated26 that at FFEP from 17 August 2024 to 25 October 2024:
 15.7 kg of UF6 enriched up to 60% U-235 were produced;27
 37.4 kg of UF6 enriched up to 20% U-235 were produced;28
 566.9 kg of UF6 enriched up to 5% U-235 were fed into cascades;29 and
 513.8 kg of UF6 enriched up to 2% U-235 were accumulated as tails.

The IAEA also explicitly rejected Bush's claims of Iraqi WMDs and didn't support the war in Iraq.

There you go, trying to attribute something to me that i didn't say. You literally cannot help yourself, you are just one of the dumbest most transparent jews I've ever seen.
im speaking in general based off what I'm seeing from AF people. It's insane seeing the same talking points that Kerry and the Democrats were saying in 2015 be repeated now by right wingers.

They hate us for our freedom, right?
iran has literally sponsored killings of American soldiers and openly call for the death of America. How hard is this to understand?

Let them play in their desert until they actually demonstrate they can glass something
as soon as Iran gets a nuke then Turkey will want a nuke, then egypt, then Saudi Arabia. It's going to be a domino effect.

We're tired of fighting everybody's wars for them.
The problems of unlimited foreign niggers in the US takes precedent over another 20 years playing in the sand pit again over a nothing burger while they get to pillage my home with zero consequence.
