VATICAN CITY, May 8 (Reuters) - USA Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected the new pope and leader of the Roman Catholic Church on Thursday and has taken the name Pope Leo XIV a senior cardinal announced to crowds in St. Peter's Square.

You absolutely do not need a cathedral or even a church to hold service.

Or take pride in showing respect to God by making His house physically beautiful, harnessing the heaven-born human passions of architecture and art to reflect the greatness of God in the very walls of His house and to inspire awe in all who enter. Worship through difficult action and achievement instead of through performative word.

Anyway, Evangelicals will never lose a pride competition with any other Christian denomination because the entire Evangelical endeavor is about endless purity spiraling and in-group/out-group competition. It's why they lost cultural power in the 90s. Nobody likes to be henpecked by church ladies.
