I went over there and everyone was extremely angry to an autistic degree and I clarified like 8 times I'm not even really a Trump guy.

Many of the people in that thread come off as ironically low-information voters, and pretty much ignore the shit shows in politics that gave us Trump in the first place. Unfortunately, people like Destiny and Hasan gave people like that too much confidence to share their beliefs on the internet so we're kinda stuck with them. Thankfully for us, they also give us entertainment not only with their derangement towards Trump, but their own hatred of themselves for not being able to live up to the expectations of their voters. All of it self inflicted flagellation from years of buying into the insanity of intersectional politics, trannyism and a stark hatred of American exceptionalism to appease some of the most pathetic people in the country in hopes of maintaining permanent political relevance.

The "collapse of US democracy" because Orange man.

You have Maine Democrats preventing Republicans from voting on bills because they criticized trans-athletes, calling for bills to limit self defense, and passing bills to use one's social media accounts to deny people access to firearms, but they want us to care about "democracy." If anything, for the past eight plus years, they've made a good case against it. At some point, people just get tired of the non-sense and enjoy the schadenfreude of politics that late democracy embodies with Trump.

They won’t even accept criticism of Trump unless it is over the top hysterical. You can easily point out his flaws in a constructive manner. But if you try to do that, they simply shoo you. And that may actually grow Trump’s support base if they all do that. The extreme “with us or against us” mentality kind of reminds me of those people who shame fence-sitters:

“You have to pick a side!” Naw mate I just don’t feel like it. “No you MUST choose!” Ugh fine. “NOT THAT SIDE THOUGH”

People will side against zealots out of pure spite if they are obnoxious.
