The people who pay them don't play games. Razorfist wants to suck up to the conservative establishment, who see gamers as lazy good-for-nothing degenerates.
Then again, it makes sense. His tastes in gaming were always weird, many of the games he "reviewed", he barely played. Him selling his gamer credentials for political cred was inevitable.
It's just that, the more he sells out, the more Razorfist burns his own fanbase, leaving him with even less influence as time goes on.
By the end of this all, the "Razorforce" would just be a bunch of Trump fans, and those guys will have no problems ditching poor old Danny-boy for another guy who can talk positive about Trump better than him.
