I wholeheartedly agree with you that the leaders of the EU nations are vile ghouls who want to wipe out as many of their citizens as they can in order to preserve their own wealth and incredibly comfortable lives - it's just that you need more than political will to actually conscript the population. There's not enough equipment and not enough facilities to train and house these conscripts. All the guns, bullets and shells have been sent to Ukraine, and all of the manufacturing has been shipped off to China/Vietnam/Russia - it'll be at least a decade before the local arms industry could be brought back to life for a variety of reasons, and even then those industries are reliant on raw inputs that are sourced almost exclusively from the same people that those bullets would be fired at. The tax-negative migrants who live in ghettos and openly hate the native government are not going to be given weapons for obvious reasons (I'm sure the elite would want them to still have free access to the vulnerable people left behind by this conscription too), and a lot of the remaining native population who aren't employed in critical industries are too old, fat, gay, retarded etc to actually be used in a military. Of the reduced pool of people that could actually serve, this cohort is the least trusting of the government - those same leaders have been doing their best to disarm and neuter them for decades now, and they're going to be extremely nervous about giving them all assault rifles and weapons training.

In my humble opinion I think you're right. Even if you're wrong and the powers that be did manage to mobilize White men in any meaningful way it's a double edge sword because the last time Europe was filled with war veterans they used their martial experience to rise to power when they came home.

I nearly regret chiming in now because it's something I haven't discussed in a while, and so I don't have a ton of sources at hand, and I'm simply opining. I think globalisation is done for because we live in the decade of the rug pull. I think the recent wars exposed both the vulnerability and the importance of secure supply chains and how multilateral interdependence can be weaponised against you, and that has changed the paradigm. I think the illusion of trust required to even attempt globalisation is shattered, and the world is returning to a state that more resembles a prison yard in that everyone has their little bit of turf that needs to be defended at all costs or risks literal rape by the rest of the yard, too anxious and paranoid to entertain the lofty ideal of a cooperative, egalitarian, united system spanning the entire world. I think the European 'elite' are worried because of all the regions in the world they have the least natural resources and even fewer weapons. The best resource they have is the indigenous human resource, who're after witnessing a massive betrayal, and people in Europe are more likely to help foreign elites topple them rather than aid or marshal any material support

As for pressganging the population like in Ukraine, there's no comparison really because most males in Europe have already seen countless videos of Ukrainian men getting jumped, battered, cable tied, and flung into a van, so the element of surprise is gone, and they're already pre-emptively watching for even a hint of it coming their way, and also, Ukraine was already armed to the teeth by the West and had the infrastructure in place to do it; Western Europe is not prepped at all.

Europes main issue in a modern war will really be if they can actually learn from it, rather than just immediately folding. One of the big lessons from Ukraine is that nobody really knows how to actually fight modern war - everyone massively misjudged the effectiveness of dug in light infantry, both over and under estimate the impact of drones, and seem to be struggling to make effective use of armored vehicles. Those armies have learned best they can, but much of that came from willful adaptability, driven in no small part by the stubborn ones dying.

Now imagine trying to get that through the European Bureaucratic nightmare. When they hit their first major setbacks from outdated tactical predictions shattering in the face of real conflict, will they accept the loses, and actually adapt? Or will they double down on what didn't work, or worse, collapse entirely and give up? Then throw in the manpower shortages, lack of political cohesion, and the layers of bureaucracy that they have to carve through to do anything like active conscription.

I have an extremely low opinion of European militaries, with the French being the only real exception. So do take what I say with a grain of salt, but I expect they won't be able to get out of their own way long enough to make the changes needed once they discover the inevitable problems with their military.
