Would you rather have a bag of dogshit or a flaming bag of dogshit? I think Rahm Emanuel has a better shot than most of the names floated around the past few months.
He may have a "better chance", but that doesn't change the fact that his tenure as mayor is not looked on fondly. I didn't even live in Chicago, I was in the fucking sticks, but even out there people hated him. Nobody has forgotten. Only the most copium huffing hive dwellers in Chicago will forget his reign.

I do not want to hear "Black Dog," "You Shook Me All Night Long," or "Gimme Shelter" for the ten millionth time. If you're going to do Boomer Rock, at least throw some Jethro Tull in there, or Flying Burrito Brothers, or some Manassas - something else. There are so many good rock bands from the era that don't get playtime because the usual suspects bloat up the programming. You're telling me you can't be fucked to sneak in The Sonics once in a while? No songs from The Remains? They toured with The Beatles in 1966, for Christ's sake. Barry Tashian is a good guy and deserves a better legacy. Not to mention that there are really good contemporary rock & roll bands that deserve playtime, but don't get any because they're not popular enough. La Hell Gang was fantastic but no one gave a shit because they're from Chile. Tinariwen is incredible and there is also a nascent psychedelic rock scene in Sub-Saharan Africa that not only sounds great, but would check all the DEI boxes at the same time... but it's Africa, so who cares? Let's listen to the same shitty song written by a retarded queerbait Jew from Missouri instead. Or the same awful "rap" or "hip hop" song that is thinly-disguised European house music. The recent trend of bands re-visiting disco is atrocious and needs to stop.

I could go on and on, but it's not relevant to this thread. I deserve MATI or Autistic stickers for this post.
Naw, I get you. The problem is stores and mainstream corpo classic rock stations play the highest testing, most popular songs, even at the expense of others that were also well known radio hits. Why play bangers from Physical Graffiti when you can just play Stairway or Whole Lotta Love 300 times? Who has time to play Ain't Talkin' Bout Live or And The Cradle Will Rock when we have to have Jump and Hot For Teacher in heavy rotation? And forget Snowblind or Fairies Wear Boots, we gotta get in that Paranoid for the 800th time!

To say nothing with deepening up with awesome songs from bands like Ram Jam, Blackfoot, BTO, ELO, James Gang, etc.

I'm very lucky to have a good classic rock radio station locally and they'll play "obscure" stuff like Burnin' Down One Side, Space Truckin', even Maiden.

I know it's a point long made by others, but his impact on the language has been so massive. The contrast to other politicians is honestly unreal. Even a decade later, they're only just starting to swear. None of them has the balls to go full boomer sentence fragments, random schizo caps, full on schoolyard insults for the opps. He's a true poster, and you can tell the man's own thumbs sent it.
Every time I ask an AI to write a Trump tweet, it never returns something that sounds like he wrote it. They’re always not witty enough and sound “off”. Trump’s tweets are always his own voice.

Rahm Emanuel is a Jew, so he'll face an uphill struggle in a contemporary Democratic primary from the Hamasniks, but he's a contender. The guy has a lot of experience, political connections, and is very "old-school" in the sense that he knows how to actually win elections before doing the kind of TMI verbal diarrhea that a lot of modern Democrats do. He has also been relatively quiet since serving as Obama's Chief of Staff, except to chide Democrats for caterwauling about far-left identity politics and economic issues. He's a Chicago Machine politician with a good record in terms of wanting to win.
Rahm Emanuel would be an opponent not to take lightly. The question is if the Democrats are smart enough to run him. Scott Adams mentioned a few weeks back that he would be a concerning development if he ran.

Emanuel reminds me of Carville. Skinny neurotic guy, sets off your gaydar big time, mostly famous for one sentence that represented a correct analysis of the situation 20+ years ago.

Shit get keep getting worse and worse for these TDS she-boons DA's.

Turns out NYC DA Letitia James (Big Tish) has been using public funds to the tune 41K in 3 months to pay for her private jets too and from her campaign events and all through a single company owned by a friend of hers (Venture Jets) and thus not on the NY approved vendors list. In fact no one else uses Venture Jets just Big Tish.

She also tried to hide it by burying it in a report as a single line entry as "travel expense" in the Comptrollers Office of NY. And it took a lawsuit to even get that bit as she recorded nothing about her travel aside from the dates. She didn't say where, who or what she was travelling for. Just that she as a DA needed a private luxury jet. Note the company advertises itself as a "high end luxury" travel option. Hellva nice gig if you can get it I guess.

oof...that's gonna sting. Big ole Tish is gonna have a hard time explaining this one.

The Trump curse strikes again.
